Antonia’s family has increasingly more responsibility over the family jewel, and she and Marcus have their hands full holding up a strong, loving marriage with four children and two time-consuming jobs. The stress is having a toll on her health, meaning she has to take days off and then works too hard upon her return to catch up on what she has missed. Alex, despite hoping to step into retirement and pass the torch soon, remains a constant support for her. Sarah is also being encouraged to lend a hand in the kitchen. Sandro remains as enamoured with California and films as ever, while Lucas wants to be a mechanic and spend his days tinkering with motorbikes. Nico and Summer were married on a windy March day and their relationship has gone from strength to strength, even after welcoming two daughters to the family. A lot of this harmony may be due to Nico’s hands-on parenting. He has been teaching the kids to read almost since the moment they were born and loves acting out bedtime stories for them, allowing Summer to focus on her career ambitions. Despite being only 5 years old, their son Jack is an old soul and his favourite hobby is listening to his grandparents’ vinyl records. The relationship between Rosalie and Marta developed and strengthened over time, even after their Australian adventure was over. They conducted a long distance relationship for two years interspersed with short visits to each other’s home countries. Rosalie described these times as perfect, though they didn’t quite add up to a full relationship. When things got more serious, Marta asked Rosalie to move to Portugal with her, as she could become a freelance photographer there whereas Marta’s job is more tied to her home in Porto. The idea of moving to New York was refused as Marta was uncomfortable in such a loud and populated city, while Rosalie adored Portugal. Her parents were quietly devastated at the thought of their daughter going so far away, but Rosalie is thriving in her new home.

Claude finished his engineering degree and made the decision that full-time music wasn’t the life for him. The creative differences between him and the band’s lead singer were also starting to resemble Fleetwood Mac and it seemed prudent to step away. The relationship between the two immediately improved and they started going out after six months. Claude now works in aviation maintenance and absolutely loves the technical nature of the work, while his girlfriend continues to play in local shows and is making a name for herself as a songwriter.

Marie achieved her dream of going abroad. Paris turned out to be rather grey and drab, but the south of France is more to her liking, and she used her language skills to find work as a tour guide. During her time there she became acquainted and enamoured with a professional swimmer who was in town for a training camp, although the relationship became long distance when he returned to his home in Seville. Things have gotten more serious now as Marie has discovered she is expecting, although she seems far more excited about the news than her partner…
