In 1989, the WMO decided to retire the names Cameron, Helene, Irving, Joyce, Kirk, Nina, Oliver, Patty, Rafael, Sandy, Tony, William, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Iota, Kappa, Nu, and Xi. Due to Greek rules, they are gonna be used later on. They were replaced with Clarence, Hailey, Ira, Jennifer, Kelvin, Naomi, Oren, Pam, Ricardo, Sara, Terrence, and Winston for the 1994 season, respectively.
