Late Judean countalong CAF
Late Judean count-along CAFRules:
-The surnames will be patronymic for example: Bat Avraham (daughter of Avraham) for females and Ben-Avraham (son of Avraham for males)
- when a woman gets married her surname changes to 'Eshet' (wife of) for example Eshet-Michael
- Roll a d20/d10 for each name (http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm)
- You can skip similar names
- If you are at the end of the namebank continue counting at the beginning
-you can decide if a family member dies and their cause of death
-feel free to edit the family tree if it's too long
-our caf takes place in the late 1st century but isn’t historically accurateDW[47]:

I just wanted to share some interesting facts with youOh, it's a relatively modern tradition:
Only Ashkenazi (European Jews) typically honor dead relatives unlike Mizrahi/Sephardi (Middle Eastern/Jews who were exiled from Spain during the medieval Era) Who usually name their children after living relatives
(Also, the reason why you did not about this fact is that most American Jews are Ashkenazi)
Additionally, my CAF takes place in Judea in the first century which is before the Jews were exiled from the Levant region (by the way the word Jew derives from Judea-Judah-Yehudah)

okay so as part of said essay we had an article where our characters toured Judea with King Herod while interviewing him. We assigned him 8 guards (4 roman praetorians for the streets and 4 Jewish guards for an excursion on Har HaBayit).Their names:
Octavianus
Valerius
Gaius
Olympiodorus
***
Shabtai ben El'azar
Hananel ben Shim'on
Nehemiah ben Yehudah
Pinchas ben Yochanan
(all of these hebrew names are used in the mishnah and talmud, during the Herodian era or a bit later)I also transferred our names into period-friendly names, also using biblical names that were used in the Mishnah and Talmud as opposed to the trendier biblical names we have.Gilad ben Avraham- Gedaliah ben Avshalom
Omri ben Avraham- Amram ben Aviram
Ohad ben Oded- Aharon ben Ovadiah
(Avraham isn't recorded as a used name during the Mishnaic and Talmudic period, but Avram and Aviram are)
