And of course I had to be patriotic and pick one of the two Finnish paintings :)

They both are beautiful (I love these painting styles). Also Finland is high on my dream destination list! A friend of my sister's lives in Finnish lapland and I hope I can visit her somewhere in the next two years. I've met so many wonderful and interesting people from Finland that it enamoured me to the country.
Finland is definitely worth of visiting. Lapland is wonderful and unique both in summer and in winter. While I currently live on the west coast, I'm truly at home in the Lakeland area: this picture is from my family's summer cottage in Central Finland.

And when it comes to cities, my former home city Turku will always have a special place in my heart :)

That's so so beautiful! I can just picture myself sitting on one of those rocks with my feet in the water. I had to look up the Lakeland's and wow! I found a road I want to drive:
The mother of a friend went to Turku three weeks ago, I'll ask her about it. There was a medieval festival I think when she was there.
I think I'll buy a Lonely Planet guide and highlight places I want to visit. I love planning long advance and just day dreaming about travelling.
Thanks for sharing ☺️

You're welcome :) I've actually been on that road/bridge, the views there are amazing. I've also been in the Turku medieval festival as a volunteer (more specifically at the Turku Castle where I had a summer job that year). I got to wear a medieval dress, though it was very plain and simple; still, it was a very fun day :)
Also the picture of Turku reminds a bit of Chichester (UK) where I used to live. I spend my breaks with friends in the Bishop's Garden's overlooking the cathedral. Good memories.
