It's busy for the royal families of Northwood and Cloudhill. Prince Apollo's and Empress Anuska's family continues to grow. Their daughter Alena is continuing to prepare herself to be an empress eventually. She and husband Gabriel welcomed their first child Prince Giles is Alena's heir to her throne. Prince Armel and his wife Princess Jehanne continue to reside in Northwood as he is the heir to his grandfather's throne. Speaking of heirs, they welcomed two children Prince Alak and Prince Annibeth. Prince Alak is the eventual heir to the Northwood throne.
Their sister Princess Anise is engaged to King Henry of Greywulf. It's a love match and the two hope to marry soon. Their brother Prince Audric married Grand Duchess Nadia. She told him about the spell she cast and he said it didn't work, but he loved her anyway. The pair have welcomed three children: Cosandro, Helmund, and Olga. The GrandDuchess Nadia has discovered she has a talent for both singing and poetry. She is recording an album and if it's a success, their family will go on tour. Prince Apollo and Empress Anushka are happy for their children, but saddened that most of them are moving out of the empire and far away. They are hoping Princess Astra stays close to home. Despite the very good matches, their kids made, they've never been title seekers.
Now that Queen Callista and King Alfonso are starting to have grown-up grandchildren; their younger kids are finally ready to marry. Princess Arianwen is engaged to a widowed Baroness. She was scared to come out, but her parents were relaxed about it. She and Sorcha don't plan to have children, but to marry and continue to protect Revecca Crownwell's legacy. Prince Aurelian has arranged a match with the only daughter of a very wealthy baronet. Her maternal grandfather made a fortune in trade and since her only brother died, she will be left with everything not entailed to the estate. The young woman, Bryda, is also young and very attractive. They are to be wed soon. Queen Callista both thinks Bryda is a great match, but is surprisingly somber about the match. Bryda reminds Callista of herself and she is remembering her mixed feelings about marrying King Alfonso. Callista has sad dreams about watching herself marry a man much older than herself, whom she respected but didn't love. She wakes up and realizes that's her husband. She and King Alfonso continue to be married and spend much of their time taking care of Prince Ansel, who now hold the record for the oldest man in Northwood history.
