1. Generate a number between 1 and 6 for all couples, If the number’s 6 the marriage ends either threw divorce, death, or one of the spouses dramatically run off with their secret lover (who will be added to the family), if it’s an engagement and you get 6, the engagement will be called out for reasons you choose. If you get 2 for either an engagement or a marriage one of the people in the couple will begin an affair with a Mistress/Paramount.
2. Generate a number between 1 and 20 for all family members. If they are under 10, over 16 means death, if they are from 10-55, over 18 means death, if they are 56 or over, 13 or over means death.
3. Generate a number between 1 and 10 for all singles aged 14 or older. If they are under 23, 6 or above is an engagement and 8 or above is marriage. That's out of the way for now, though, because Francesco had apparently married the Mistress he had been dating, and they've never even seen her. Plus, Lawrence's wife, Lady Delphine, has apparently been having a secret affair with a wealthy Paramount named Horace. When the affair was discovered, the two lovers ran off, leaving Lawrence stranded. He joined the club with Lucy at that moment. Mark and Adam, the two youngest siblings, got married to two sisters named Lillian and Ella. They encouraged Lucy and Lawrence to spend time with Lillian and Ella's family, and they did, forgetting what had happened soon enough. And the eldest siblings are looking at them...

The year we last visited the Edwards family, Marie is strangled by an old partner of Robert's who has recently been released. He believes it was Robert's fault he got caught and wanted to harm those he loved. Sally and Robert are devastated. Peggy and Harry are pained that she had to go through the same hardships they did. Robert, to Harry's pleasure, abandons his ways and becomes a jeweler. Llinos and Sally have become good friends since Edmund's death and Llinos becomes engaged then married to Mr. Elmer Beauclerc. Sally is her matron of honor. This helps lift her spirits. The next year, Peggy is poisoned by a man who's loved ones' bodies were stolen by Jesse. Jesse & Harry are shocked. There is a year of peace, but then Jean is killed in an "accident" on a train. He "fell" out of the car on a bridge, but so did those who witnessed a dark figure throwing the little boy into the river. Sally and Robert are again grieved. Since Robert has abandoned his life of crime, they wonder who could have done this heinous thing. The following year, Rebecca poisoned. Sally can barely take it. Frances hardly smiles any more. Robert is able to catch the killer (someone he's stolen from) and turn him into the authorities. It's discovered this is the same man who killed Jean. The Crowhursts will never feel safe again. Robert hates that his past choices have costed his both his and Sally's children. Jesse gets engaged then married to Ida Ackerman.

The year we last visited the Edwards family, Marie is strangled by an old partner of Robert's who has recently been released. He believes it was Robert's fault he got caught and wanted to harm those he loved. Sally and Robert are devastated. Peggy and Harry are pained that she had to go through the same hardships they did. Robert, to Harry's pleasure, abandons his ways and becomes a jeweler. Llinos and Sally have become good friends since Edmund's death and Llinos becomes engaged then married to Mr. Elmer Beauclerc. Sally is her matron of honor. This helps lift her spirits. The next year, Peggy is poisoned by a man who's loved ones' bodies were stolen by Jesse. Jesse & Harry are shocked. There is a year of peace, but then Jean is killed in an "accident" on a train. He "fell" out of the car on a bridge, but so did those who witnessed a dark figure throwing the little boy into the river. Sally and Robert are again grieved. Since Robert has abandoned his life of crime, they wonder who could have done this heinous thing. The following year, Rebecca poisoned. Sally can barely take it. Frances hardly smiles any more. Robert is able to catch the killer (someone he's stolen from) and turn him into the authorities. It's discovered this is the same man who killed Jean. The Crowhursts will never feel safe again. Robert hates that his past choices have costed his both his and Sally's children. Jesse gets engaged then married to Ida Ackerman.

Tragedy struck the Camerons again when Marianne was killed during a train robbery. It happens that Delphine had once been a professional associate of the dastardly outlaw who did the deed. She was angered on behalf of her husband for his sister, and cared for her sister-in-law herself, although the Camerons refrained from socializing too much for Delphine to know her very well. She sent a tip to the police anonymously that saw the murderer apprehended. No one but Simon will ever know the service she has done to the family.
There has been new life in the Swynford family as well. Eliza and Iestyn welcomed another son and daughter. Simon and Delphine had a third daughter and a son. And Lord Anthony married at last, to a lovely American woman. Some in the Swynford's acquaintance scorned her as "new money" but Myrtle and Anthony have been quite content and had three children together - the eldest and heir named for his father, the late Lord Andrew.
But near the end of these past five years a second tragedy has occurred. Isabella, the eldest daughter of Eliza, became entangled in a romance with the dashing but tempestuous Claude Astor. Against the wishes of her mother and stepfather, the couple eloped, but the dis not find the happiness together they expected - and a lover's quarrel ended in Isabella's death. Eliza has never been sadder to have been right.

Deborah and Agostino's marriage is doing well, and Simon has stayed single, focusing on finishing The Adventures of Sir Birdwhistle. Jack is often gone for his illegitimate job, and has taken on a rather risky mistress: the Lady Sadie Astor, a noblewoman living outside of London. Kitty tries not to care - this is not the first time Jack has been unfaithful. She knows he loves her first and foremost, and will come back to her. An unthinkable tragedy comes again in 1882, when Phoebe is poisoned by a young man named Horace Reilly. Jesse stole the body of Horace's mother, and he has sought revenge by coming for who he loves most. She dies childless, and Jesse is devastated by her death. He feels he's entirely responsible, he vows to cut off his criminal life style, and tries to start anew as a blacksmith, the profession he and Jack had been trained in. Jack pities his brother, but isn't happy with his decision: Jack's left to work alone now. Not that he's working much - he's been staying home to console Kitty and their sons. Ned was especially close to his Aunt Phoebe, and he doesn't understand how someone could do this to her.
