Much misfortune visits the royal families! Alfred, Charlton, and Mirabelle die of sickness. Reynaud dies of injuries from a riding accident. Emma and Henry are secretly seeing each other. Emma has another son, the new Crown Prince Eric, but she and Crispin have not forgotten Charlton. Annabel and Henry have a daughter, Lady Abigail. Fluerette and Francis are unfortunately unable to have any more this time around, and they aren't sure they wanted to as they are still in extreme pain from Reynaud and Mirabelle's deaths. Aldith marries Viscount Arthur Arbuthnott.
