Year One
María Carmen Florina Gaspar Quijano is a Costa Rican ER doctor with wavy black hair and grey eyes. Lile Ráichéal Ó Caoimh is an Irish soccer player with straight brown hair and brown eyes. The girls met in college and married shortly after Lile's graduation. Now that María Carmen has graduated from medical school and secured a good job, she and Lile are ready to open up a new chapter of their life. To start it off, they get a pet cat they name Van, after the character from Yellowjackets.

Year Two
Lile is kicked off of her soccer team after testing negative for a drug test. She is able to get a new job as a business advisor, which she went to school for.

Year Three
María Carmen and Lile get a basset hound! They name him Otto.

Year Four
Lile starts a business selling sportswear for young girls.

Year Five
Four years after marriage, María Carmen and Lile decide to welcome a child into their home. They adopt an 8 year old girl named Lucy Victoria Quijano Ó Caoimh, who has straight blonde hair and brown eyes.

Year Seven
María Carmen and Lile adopt a five year old boy named Mason Elijah Quijano Ó Caoimh, who has wavy black hair and brown eyes. Shortly after, Lucy comes home with a stray kitten, who she names Sprinkles before she's even told she can keep her. Of course, they have to let the kids adopt her!

Year Eight
María Carmen and Lile adopt their newest child, an Irish baby boy named Ethan William Quijano Ó Caoimh. He has wavy blond hair and green eyes. Lucy sprains her ankle in soccer, but she's alright!

Year Nine
María Carmen and Lile attempt to adopt again, this time from Costa Rica, but it fell through. They're unsure as to why, but María Carme and Lile suspect it was likely because of the fact that they are a same-sex couple.

Year Ten
Lile, María Carmen, Lucy, Mason, and Ethan fly to Ireland for the Ó Caoimh family reunion. While there, María Carmen and Lile treceive the unfortunate news that once again, their attempts at adoption from Costa Rica has fallen through.
