Kaija and Antonis meet in Bucharest when Kaija was going to college and all though they are quite different, they hit it off right away. Kaija is training to be a 4th grade teacher whereas Antonis is working in biology right now but having some trouble due to having graduated two years ago. The wedding happened fast, they decided to get married earlier because they didn't want to spend too long engaged, and they had been together for three amazing years prior!

They also hear about two Nigerian children, who sadly lost their parents in a fire and they decide to adopt them and provide them a better life. One was a newborn baby, and he is so happy with his new family! So is his sister, who is ecstatic about having a happy, loving family who cares for her so much. She loves living in Europe as well. They also rename them Samuel and Emilia and keep their birth name due to fear of them not fitting. However, Kaija's pay just happened to be cut at the worst possible time.

Poor Maggie gets sick! She recovers, however. Emilia is extremely happy to go to school and learn Greek and Romanian and Samuel and Effrosyni are best friends. They also adopt a little boy named Theo who was born in Korea who's parents abandoned him. He also loves his family, but especially Maggie who loves little Theo. Similarly, they name him Theo and keep his middle name as his birth name.
