With six weddings and eight new babies the past two years have been very busy for the Blackwell family. Mamie and Cedric went from zero to three grandchildren in a span of sixteen months. Allegra and Mohammad, or Mo as he is often called, gifted them two; their daughter is sixteen months old, while their son joined the family only five days ago. The third grandchild is the daughter of Bertram and his wife whom he married a little bit over a year ago. They have been dating for three years now after they met in rather unconventional circumstances; she was a model for one of Bertram’s sculpturing workshops. One thing led to another and by the end of the day they were having dinner together in Bertram’s favorite restaurant.

Compared to his cousin Timothy met his wife in more conventional way at a bar, during a night out with their respective group of friends. They are both paleontologist and till this day they find it amusing that they never bumped into each other at one of the conferences but met in a bar somewhere in Minnesota. They are now parents to fourteen months old son. Timothy’s brother Peter and his new wife were introduced by their common friend who celebrated his 30th birthday. They spent the evening, talking and laughing together and quickly bonded over their love for Madonna’s music.

Dora has been living in Finland for seven years now, when she was leaving USA to take up a job as an English teacher at a high school in Espoo the plan was to stay for a year, but she fell in love with the country and remained there. Few years later she also fell in love with a Finnish guy she met during her numerous hikes and they were married last summer, welcoming a daughter only six months later.

Bradley and Dulce’s marriage has been a rollercoaster ride so far mostly due to Dulce’s busy schedule, but they are still trying to make it work, especially for the sake of their son who has been born fifteen months ago. Dulce decided to slow down her career and nowadays spends most of her time in the USA with her husband and son, who join her on the rare trips abroad.

Kelly, a certified NICU nurse, met her husband an attorney at a baseball match. They have been now married for nearly two years and welcomed a son a year ago. In a funny family twist her cousin Jenny just married Kelly’s husband’s younger brother. They met at Kelly’s wedding, both of them being in the wedding party, with Jenny being one of the bridesmaids and her husband being his brother’s best man.

Shannon and Jane welcomed a little brother for Althea and Shiloh recently. They always wanted to have a big family so having three children already is a dream come true for them.
