Rachel and Derek were shocked when they found out Rachel was having twins a few years ago--their older two children were equally as shocked! The girls were a welcome addition to the family, though, and are close to celebrating their third birthday! Morgan is in high school now and is looking forward to graduating next year. Her goal is to go to vet school. Lucas is in middle school. He is one of the more popular kids, but Lucas doesn't put much stock in that--he much prefers going camping and hiking with Derek or his Uncle Josh. Autumn is in Kindergarten this year--she was so excited to finally go to school...but she was a bit upset when Rachel told her she couldn't take Evie and Jenny with her.
Alex and Shawn are still in the Air Force, but both intend to "retire" in the next few years. Alex wants to start her own business, and Shawn has skills that he can put to work in the private IT sector. Their daughter, Maggie, is in middle school this year. She now boasts a working knowledge of eight languages and is fluent in two others (as well as English). She is in an international penpal program and writes to two other kids--one in Spain and one in the Philippines.
Josh is also still in the Air Force, and he plans to make a career of it. Haley stopped working part time after their fourth child was born--there was too much going on at home to be involved in anything else--at least for now.
Henry and Isaac are in middle school now--they still look nearly like twins, though Henry is starting to grow much taller. The boys love to be outside and especially like it when cousin Lucas comes to visit because they get to take cool camping and outdoor wilderness trips. Karrie is in first grade this year. She is a quiet girl, but enjoys when Haley and Josh read to her and when she can listen to music. Allie was born two and a half years ago and is a little spitfire. Haley has told Josh more than once that Allie has been more difficult to raise than the other three kids put together. The baby, Noah, was born about three months ago.
