Year 0 - Vienna, Austria

Sofie, from Innsbruck, and Dominik, from Prague, met five years ago through mutual friends. They've been together for three years and recently got married.
Year 1 - Vienna, Austria

Dominik and Sofie are delighted to they welcome a son, Roman - however, only a few months later, Sofie is involved in a car accident and passes away, leaving Dominik a single father. He moves in with Sofie's parents in Vienna temporarily.
Year 2 - Vienna, Austria
In the aftermath of Sofie's death, Dominik takes up painting in the precious free time he has between work and caring for Roman.
Year 3 - Innsbruck, Austria
Dominik and Roman move to Sofie's native Innsbruck, as life in Vienna is beginning to prove too expensive.
Year 4 - Innsbruck, Austria
Dominik begins teaching Roman to paint as well - he has quite a talent for it, more than his father (much to his pride and his chagrin)
