Year 1
Amy and Darrin welcome their first child, a girl! Eliana is Amy’s #1 favorite name and is pleasantly surprised when Darrin agrees to naming their daughter Eliana. Gabrielle is after Darrin’s brother Gabriel.

Year 2
The city of Somerset is affected by very strong thunderstorms. There’s even a tornado involved in nearby Campbellsville that almost crashes into a children’s hospital there. Luckily it misses the hospital and the family’s home.

Year 3
Darrin loses his job due to the radio station going off the air, but he gets right back on his feet and applies to a new country station. H:e then gets the job as their mid-afternoon DJ, and he really enjoys being paid to listen to and talk about country music all afternoon.

Year 4
Amy gives birth on Darrin’s 25th birthday to a little boy! Darrin is over-the-moon excited when Amy goes into labor and doesn’t even mind delaying the birthday celebration for little Carter’s birth. Carter is four months old and teething, and Eliana is obsessed with him.

The family moves up to Nicholasville, where they find a much nicer house than they lived in before. The house in Somerset had belonged to Amy’s grandmother, so everything in it seemed to belong in the forties.
