Recently, one of your children was very ill. Who was it, and what was wrong? How did you handle it? Your daughter started middle school/jr. high/secondary school this year. How is she taking it? Round 9 - Baby #6
Vlad and I welcomed a daughter into the world. She is so small, so we decided to name her something to suit her rather than just any name. We both settled on Mara Valkyrie – Vlad has always loved the name Mara and I’ve only recently come across Valkyrie, so it seemed appropriate to combine the two.
Casimir was diagnosed with eczema recently. It is genetic (Vlad and I both had it when we were younger), so we obviously knew how to deal with it. It broke our hearts to see Casimir in such a large amount of pain, but he has always been a tough kid and he is slowly recovering.
Louisa started secondary school this year, and she’s been really good. Her teachers are impressed with the detail she puts into her work – especially maths, which she gets from Vlad. Evander started ping-pong lessons after I surrendered to his constant nagging and he is loving every minute of it. He hopes to get to the state championships by the time he turns nine, which I think is realistic because he’s so talented.

Last week Billie caught chicken pox and was forced to leave school for a week. We made sure that Billie avoided Lily, Robbie, Harry, Sunny, and Gracie so they would'nt catch it too.
Lily started 6th grade this year and she couldn't be happier. She is still a straight-A student and has loads of friends.
Robbie and Billie turned 8 recently. They are both beginning to play soccer for their school and are both quite good.
Harry is 5 1/2 now and loving kindergarten. He has a best friend named Dominic. They are very close.
Sunny is 2 now. She is very time-consuming, but we love her all the same. She has entered the terrible two's and it definitely shows.

Baby Silva #6 has come into the world, and it's another girl! Faith Alexandra was born about a month early on September 24th at 8:04 PM, weighing 5 pounds; 18 inches long. Because she was early and tiny, they kept her in the hospital a couple of days to monitor her progress, but she is now doing wonderfully. We decided to give her the name Faith because it was short and really seemed to go along with her early arrival. I chose her middle name Alexandra because I thought it was lovely and went well with her name. Faith is a beautiful baby girl with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes, that like her siblings, seem to change color depending on what she wears. She has a wonderful personality and is a very happy baby, known, like her big sister Elisabeth, for having a smile on her face and for loving to be held.
Cristina is still living with us, and it's wonderful to have her in the house with five active children and an infant around. She is, no doubt, a wonderful grandmother and a great help around the house. She enjoys spending time with the children, and they, likewise, love the time they get with her.
Ellie Grace, as Luke and I often call her, although she's now going by Elisabeth, is now eleven years old and has started middle school. She was taken by surprise by the size of the campus when she first started attending, especially in comparison to the rather small elementary school she attended, but she's grown to enjoy the change. She likes changing classes and getting more than one teacher in a day, although she has found that not everything will work out to her perfectionist nature. She still works hard though and tries to reach perfection in all that she does. Her favorite class is English, and she has excelled wonderfully, not only here, but in all of her courses. Ellie continues to figure skate, which she wholeheartedly enjoys, especially now that she's skating pairs. It, honestly, made me nervous in the beginning to see her being lifted into the air, but she gets a thrill out of it, and loves to be on the ice.

Whew so much has happened recently that I hardly know where to start.
Somehow Lawrence got pneumonia and was in the hospital for a long time. It was quite a shock to us all, especially as Law was the most active and healthy of all the children. Theo was the one most effected by that, and he always wanted to be at the hospital in case Law needed him.
Rosie is in Junior Highschool this year and doing marvelously. William and she are still best friends and spend a lot of time together. I am beginning to wonder where their relationship is going and just hope that neither is going to be hurt in the end.
Before Law became ill he decided to start up a new sport, archery.
Gabriel loves school, for which I am very greatful and has become great friends with Matthew, a boy who lives not too far from us.

Ella just got back form the hospital. She just started middle school but got severe pnemonia. She was flown to the capital's children's hospital but it's okay now. We were very worried and are relieved that she's okay. She adores middle school and has made lots of new friends! She's very outgoing and is a great friend.
Caius and Remus are now 8. Caius just got on a great basketball team and is great at it! Remus is doing great on the piano, as is Ella and Orion.
Orion's best friend's name is James, Ella's best friend Peter's little brother. They have a ball in kindergarten.
Juliet is very shy, still undersized, much like her new sister Mary. She's very quiet and small. In two years we're going to start her on piano, as she is already looking forward to it.

Baby Tennyson #6 is finally here! Lily Marie arrived yesterday morning. She's very small, since she arrived three weeks prematurely, but to us she's absolutely perfect. Her middle name is for Jack's mother again, since she's been such a great help around the house these past couple of years. Emma and Ava are both so excited to have another sister to play with; Alec, Hayden, and Liam are all in that stage where they think girls have cooties.
Liam recently came down with the flu and had to stay in bed for a week. His temperature rose to 104! Jack and I were seriously considering taking him to the hospital, but thankfully it went down after that. He's doing great now and is acting as if he was never sick at all.
Emma, now eleven and in the sixth grade, just started junior high. At first, she was surprised at the size of it, and she had to readjust to being in the youngest class again, but overall she loves it. She really likes her teachers and the new friends she's made. She's running for class president and wants to be on the yearbook team, and I think she has a good chance at doing both.
The twins are eight now, but nothing much has changed from two years ago. Hayden is still very much into sports and just took up soccer (I wouldn't let him play football). He excels at it; we're looking into him trying out for a club team soon. Alec still loves music. In addition to the guitar, he also plays the drums, the bass, and the keyboard. He wants to start a band when he's ten.
Liam just started kindergarten and has become inseparable with his new best friend, Baxter.
Ava, no longer the baby of the family, has decided to be like the older kids. She's always copying what her big sisters do, which to them is at the same time adorable and annoying. She also loves to play dress-up and is always going through my clothes and jewelry.
On a sadder note, our cat Tad passed away. He was hit by a car. The kids had a funeral for him in the backyard.

Andrew and I are so happy to announce that Sofie Lark, baby number six, arrived by surprise on June 30. weighing 5 pounds, 13 oz. She was a month premature, and is extremelly tiny, but we all love her so much! She's another good eater, and sleeps very well, which definetly surprised us. Never before having a premature infant before, we were worried about her getting enough food and rest, and for goodness sakes, she was so tiny that the kids were afraid of breaking her! Grandma was a lot of help- even though none of us knew it, two out of four of her children were premature, including Andrew! She really is good-natured, and everyone is very happy to have her finally home.
Recently, Rose got extremelly sick. At first, we weren't the least bit worried, all she had was a simple case of stomach flu.

Recently James had an allergic reaction turns out he is allergic to peanuts! Elisabeth was quite shook up for a while but recovered after some advice form the Doctor. This year Nan started high school, though she was intially nervous she settled in well and made news friends quickly after a fall out with her old ones. Harry has taken to rock climbing over the summer and seems to be fairly good at it. Charlie is doing well at school with his best friend Jack Anthony. Valentine was the baby of the family until Maria came along but she adapted fairly quickly with being just a favourite of Grandma's and Nan's. Sadly Houdini was hit by a car. The children were devastated but the arrival of Maria was a good distraction.
