Love seems to be in the air, with Mariano and Bianca both with new spouses of their own, Luigi having a wedding of his own to the Frenchwoman from before, and Caterina engaged. Admittedly, Bianca was harsh to Ercole when they first met, but she has grown sweet on him in the past year.
The Alfieri family bank is going strong, with the recent deal with the Pope to rebuild the Vatican after a fire.
