DH: Giovanni Antonio
When Giovanni was young, his parents left Naples for America. When they arrived, they tried to assimilate as well as possible for little Jack's sake, as his school mates called him. They had "Americanized" his name to John Anthony. Now, only his family calls him Giovanni.
Outgoing and smart, Jack fit in well at his public school. His parents were very proud when he accepted a football scholarship to the U in a neighboring state.
DW: Willow Sage
Young Willow grew up on a farm in the Midwest. Her parents, whom some may call hippies, purchased a sprawling farm and have lived almost self-sufficiently since. Like minded individuals soon after purchased farms around them, and Willow grew up working hard but having fun with the other children.
Willow loved her family and friends, but the farthest she'd ever been away from home was the community high school on another family's farm. Since most of the children were home-schooled, they had banded together to experience a little bit of "normal" America, and it left Willow wanting more, so she enrolled at a state school... just not her own. Her parents supported her decision.
Jack and Willow met at an orientation at their college. As fate would have it, both had signed up to be group leaders to welcome the incoming freshman. They were both juniors, but had never met before at this large state school. They married shortly after graduation, and moved to the suburbs outside a city about three hours from where Willow grew up. Jack's parents retired to the same state, and despite the distances, the families keep in touch.
For their own children, Jack and Willow chose classic, not neccesarily popular or trendy, "American" names.
