Hi! This was a lot of fun! I wrote little stories for each family group to show how I broke down the challenge and just for fun. I wasn’t positive I did the name groups correctly, but hopefully it’s okay. I named the “main” family – parents and kids – with one name group, then I used another name group for each child’s SO & children. If the child had an Ex, I used a different name group for the next SO and children they had (except for Elena & Carter who I used one namebank for him and all of their kids, step and together).

Audrey and William, who have more than six children, had two sons, Alexander and Henry, and then wanted to try again for a girl. When their daughter Vivian died right after birth, this hit them extremely hard and they waited a few years before deciding to try again for another, and likely, last child. To their amazement they had twin boys, Christian and Benjamin! After some exhausting years, they once again had a daughter on their minds and decided to adopt while they were still young enough to have the energy for another baby. Elena finally joined their family to everyone’s delight. With now five kids, they were satisfied with their big, loving family for eleven years when…they had surprise twins! This time it was a girl and boy, Sophie and Oliver. They named all of them with fashionable classic names.

Alexander married Thea a few years after college. A few years later they had Charlotte, and though the marriage was seeming to become a bit distant, Jasper followed five years after that, and Thea thought perhaps things were on the mend between them. (Thea named them with antique baby names back in style). Their relationship ended abruptly, however, when she discovered that Alex had been seeing another woman – and a 20-something-year-old at that…definitely an age gap of more than 10 years – and had had another child, Micah, who was born the year before when she was pregnant with Jasper! Thea and Alex were divorced. Alex and his girlfriend Livia were married, and they had two more children, daughters Zara and Isobel (classic names with a twist like their mother’s). Charlotte and Jasper don’t see their father very often, though Charlotte begrudgingly allowed him to meet her daughter, Aria, whom she had following a relationship with a classmate, Roman (their names are favorites on Nameberry ). Alex told her he wasn’t very happy that she was having a child as a teenager but she told him she wasn’t very happy with him running off with nearly a teenager, and they settled on a thorny impass that will hopefully improve as time goes on.

Christian and his sweetheart Gwen, who are unmarried and settled with their common-law relationship have a two-year-old daughter, Evangelene. They are fans, and it shows in their names! Since they found each other later on and had their daughter when older than 40, they’ve decided they are satisfied having only one child. Having only one makes it easier to enjoy Steampunk adventures with her, and so Evangelene makes their small family complete.

Benjamin met Callum on a study-abroad in Ireland. The same-sex couple were married a couple of years later, and Benjamin now lives on the emerald isle with Callum and their two children, Darragh and Caoimhe, who have Irish names, of course!

Elena, who was adopted from Russia, wanted her children’s names to have some part that reflected her nation of birth in their first or middle name (choosing them from the following namebanks beginning with Alexei which Isaac’s was on as well – Carter and his former wife must have used the same list!), and has Nina Summer, Rose Anya, and August Nikolai.

Oliver, the officially youngest by two minutes and thirteen seconds after his twin sister Sophie, is engaged to his fiancée Ruby. She has a hipster name and they continue to follow the trend with their son’s name, Dashiell.
