Paddy and Anna live in a bungalow on the outskirts of NYC, in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Anna does most of her writing while sitting in either the guest room next to the master bedroom, which she painted a light gold with white trim, or on the covered porch in the front yard. There are two little girls who live across the street who have taken a liking to Anna and Paddy both, and often visit Anna during the day to play dolls on the front porch. Their mother sends flowers over once in a while, and Anna keeps the flowers in the pale yellow guest room. The other guest room is Paddy’s rehearsal room, where he has all of his music, scripts, tape recorders, pitch pipes, dance shoes, stage makeup, etc. His old computer is in there as well, and his laptop stays next to his old computer most of the time. Anna’s laptop tends to be in the master bedroom or the yellow guest room, which Paddy has dubbed Anna’s gold mine. The family room walls are a rich bronze color, and the couches, ottoman, and armchair are dark green micofiber with pillows and blankets that match the walls. The master bedroom is painted a muted dark green, and the furniture is all either bronzed metal or a rich bronze color, with green throws and pillows. The kitchen matches the pale gold guest room, and has a four-leaf clover painted border at about eye level. The porches both have small white fences with stenciled four-leaf clovers on them, and both the front and garage door are the same green as the master bedroom. All of the cabinetry in the house is a gold-bronze stained oak, to match Anna’s piano, which is in the dining room in lieu of a formal dining set. Altogether, the couple is very happy with their little house, aptly named Eire by Anna’s cousin’s seven-year-old daughter Lydia.
Do you hear the people sing? Lost in the valley of the night. It is the music of the people who are climbing to the light! For the wretched of the earth, there is a flame that never dies. Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise...
