SO1: Alister Ellar Kyles [straight, blonde hair + grey eyes] charity aid worker

Location: Portugal
Background: Scottish born and raised, Ali, never left his highland home until he was 16. He had a golden heart and yearned to see the world. He became an aid worker to combine both of these traits. Raised mainly by her father in Japan when her mother died as an infant, Emi dreamed of making it big. But her dreams came crashing down after her father's death and she was sent to her mother's native Brazil to be looked after by relatives.
Ali wanted to change the world but his latest assignment in the big charity corp is helping out in a soup kitchen in a Portuguese slum. Meanwhile Emi escaped to Europe to sing and dance and act but has found herself recently in Portugal struggling to make ends meet as a shop assistant.
Loneliness brings these two broken souls together. Can love blossom in such a dark place?
Year1: Emi's hard work and perseverance in the shop has got her noticed. She's promoted to Supervisor.

Year2: The young couple suddenly find themselves parents to street cat Toby.

Year3: Ali and Emi have a son, Enzo Yuuki Kyles is born with straight, black hair and big, brown eyes.

Year4: Enzo contracts meningitis aged 9 months old. He's a fighter and survives it but looses his foot and several fingers to the infection.

Year5: Emi is around the apartment a lot taking care of Enzo, she decides to take up painting and discovers a talent she never knew she had!

Year6: Enzo becomes a big brother when he is joined by little Lennox Xandinho Kyles with wavy, black hair and blue eyes.

Year7: Just 14months after their second son, a third makes his arrival! Meet Niall Hiroshi Kyles, sprouting straight, blond hair and blue eyes.

Year8: Good news (finally) for the Kyles family! After years of struggling on breadcrumbs with three children, Ali gets a new job with another charity aid company. For better pay, he's sitting much nearer the top of the food chain, making decisions that affect real people and getting his hands dirty on the ground making differences in people's lives. The job also comes with accommodation so the family can finally move to somewhere big enough for their three boys to run around!

Year9: Baby boy #4 bounces his way into the family with wavy, blond hair and green eyes; welcome Shiro Wallace Kyles.

Year10: Ali and Emi are going for a little leagues team with the arrival of fifth son, Kaito Rubens Kyles! The image of his youngest big brother, he has wavy, blond hair and green eyes.

Year11: Although grateful for the opportunities the new charity company had given Ali, he felt it was time to move on for a new challenge and so had taken the role of shopping director for a Jehovah Witness aid charity who transport equipment and donations all over the world.

Year12: Ali's first year at his new job has been cracking and he's earned a pay rise which means some much needed refurb and extension can be done on the house!

Year13: Emi had begun to notice Toby spending more and more time away from the house and distancing himself from the boys, she worried he was trying to find the right time to pass on peacefully. Imagine her surprise then when one day he bounds home with a gorgeous, young tabby and trail of kittens in tow! There're five kittens - one for each of the boys - whom they name, while Ali and Emi take the female cat to be aged and spayed and give her a name too.

Year15: With finally every child in full time education and settled, Emi goes back to work (though she doesn't have to with Ali's salary) and takes a part-time job in a small bakery.

Year16: Just when everyone thought they'd stop at 5! Hello Finn Jerônimo Kyles, again mimicking his two youngest big brothers perfectly in appearance.

Year17: And with a new birth comes a passing. Not long after Finn joins the family, Toby vacates it. It leaves a huge hole in everyone's heart and it's heartbreaking to see Princess and the kittens mourn.

Year19: It all kicks off the Kyles household as Enzo threatens to throw Lennox's guitar out the window if he doesn't return his designer hoody, not to let his closest brother be treated that way, Niall wades in and makes things worse! Eventually Emi gets it all straightened out but her three oldest sons aren't talking to each other for a week! Oh well, at least it makes for some peace!
