Lycus Jonson and Lily Rose Taylor grew up in the same little town, where Lycus' father, Jon, was a farmer and Lily Rose came from a family of (you guessed it!) tailors and seamstresses. Their two girls, Jael and Julia, are beautiful young ladies, and Lycus is entertaining various suitors to see who will be a good fit for each girl. Both Jael and Julia work with Lily Rose as seamstresses, though Jael often helps Lycus on his merchant trips (to look at new fabrics and fashions, of course).
