Saphirdufeu's Royal Congrats - Round 5
Round 1: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/game/4944377
Round 2: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/game/4944585
Round 3: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/game/4945598
Round 4: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/game/4945878We’re halfway there guys! 5 years have passed, and the year is 1193 - age everyone up.
Dice: http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htmRelationshipsFirst, roll d4 for any relationships - if you roll a 1, the couple is no longer together, due to death or divorce. Roll d10 for everyone over the age of 55, or under the age of 10 - a roll of 8-10 means that that person has unfortunately passed away. Now, roll d10 for everyone over the age of 14 who is single.
If they are aged 15 to 18, a roll from 7-10 is an engagement (but not one which can produce children.)
If they are aged 19 to 25, a roll from 5-6 is an engagement, and 7-10 is a marriage.
If they are aged 26+, a roll from 3-5 is an engagement, and 6-10 is a marriage.
Engagements may become marriages in the next round.
Naturally, a member of the royal family cannot marry a commoner - and so, roll d6 for the title of the noble any royals marry:
1: Baron/Baroness
2: Viscount/Viscountess
3: Count/Countess
4: Duke/Duchess
5: Prince/Princess (of another country)
6: King/Queen (of another country)
Women who marry will take the title of their spouse - men will take the title of their spouse if it is higher than theirs. ChildrenNext up, children! Any children born this round should be under 5 years old, and will take the title of their parents (unless their parents are King & Queen, in which case they are Prince/Princess). Roll d20.
For a potential mother aged 18-23: 1-10 is no children, 11-15 is 1 child, 16-20 is 2 children
For a potential mother aged 24-34: 1-5 is no children, 6-8 is 1 child, 9-14 is 2 children, 15-20 is 3 children
For a potential mother aged 35-45: 1-10 is no children, 11-15 is 1 child, 16-20 is 2 childrenEvents (optional)Roll d10:
1-6: no event
7-8: Dominus Illuminatio Mea
Long has England been a centre of education, and now a group of noblemen have approached you with a request. They ask for permission to found a university, funded by the taxpayer’s money.
9-10: Expansion!
After a long, difficult war, your army has reclaimed the French province of Normandy, which is rightfully England’s. The subjects of the province, however, are not thrilled, and naturally neither is the King of France.NamesRoll d10 for namebanks.Even number: David Gaillard James Joachim Lance Peter Ives Robert Pierce Helias Walter Lewis Gilbert Leopold Isambard Evrouin Faramond Jaspar Paul Jehan / Eva Madlin Sabeline Jacquetta Lily Simona Joan Francesse Christina Elspeth Arabella Eleanor Hosianna Marion Amy Bianca Clara Honora Cecily LauraOdd number: Valentine Florian Balian Jacob Conon Adrian Pascoe Tobias Sylvester Crispin Niall Blaise Samson Benoit Andrew Charles Romain Edward Durant David / Amelia Dulcie Joy Caroline Pavia Leonia Coletta Sigrid Eadie Juliet Oriana Petronilla Mary Olive Idony Violetta Avril Estrelda Roana KatherineSurnames: Achard Fitzalan Cioches Ligonier Damours Vesci Marescot Rennes Montgomery Hewse Emory Cairon Leclerc AdeneyDu weißt nicht, was du fühlst, weißt nicht, was du suchst, irgendwas weit weg von mirhttp://www.behindthename.com/pnl/185597

DS [dec] Prince James Constantine of England***King George has succumbed to illness, passing away four years ago.Queen Lucy donned her mourning dresses, and was indeed saddened by the death of her husband, but she knew England needed a fresh breath. While (mostly thanks to her), the country was functional, the people were growing tired of a king who, even in his last days, preferred his ale to his subjects. However, the queen mother now had matters even more pressing than unofficially running the country - finding a wife for her son, 23 year old Edmund, and soon-to-be king as quick as possible, preferably before his coronation, which was to take place a fortnight after King George's death.Edmund wasn't particularly moved by the king's death. He had always been closer to his mother, and despite not wishing his father ill, he was very keen to become king. One drawback of being the monarch was the fact one was expected to marry, and there were few things Edmund would rather do less.

Not only that, but Philip and Alexander succumbed to the disease too. The Dowager Queen retreated to her residence in Scotland and separated herself from the affairs of state. She was at least happy in the knowledge that her eldest son, the new King William, had at last found a match - not a good one, Kitty had only been a Viscountess, but at least they were in love. That was something the Dowager Queen, in mourning for her dear lost husband and her poor children, could well appreciate. Little Princess Meg was engaged, too - to the new Queen's brother. It would have been amusing if the family weren't so worn down.

She wanted someone to sweep her off her feet, and any old baron or count wouldn't do. When King Valentine of France lost his wife, she urged her stepmother to talk her father into throwing Valentine into the mix. It just so happened that Valentine's advisors loved the match. So far, however, Alice's romantic ideals have not come to pass. Still in mourning for his first wife, Valentine spends his time moping around the house instead of sweeping Alice off her feet. They have been married for over a year and they have yet to consummate the marriage. Alice has told her stepmother that she will give Valentine another year before she asks for an annulment. Anselm and Katherine are as in love with each other (and as passionate) as when they first met. Their darling Rosalind is eight years old now, and Katherine can hardly believe that she and Anselm had time to get married at all, what with adding another three children to their family in the last five years. She couldn't be happier with her situation.

Both Simon’s wife, Princess Aida, and their youngest daughter Maude had died the year previous when, in a weakened condition after being injured falling from her horse, Aida contracted a fever that was spreading throughout the town which the baby also then succumbed to. Simon has been crowned the new King of Linesi. Despite still being filled with grief, he has recently remarried after the increasingly frequent urging of his council and the empathetic encouragement of his stepmother, the Queen Dowager Ariane. His wife, Queen Elspeth has just delivered of a daughter whom they named Juliet Madlin Caroline (the latter after his sister who had named Simona after him).
In the same year Alistair passed, Caroline and Henry’s daughter Simona tragically drowned. Caroline was pregnant at the time, and delivered their daughter early. She thankfully survived her birth, but was weak and remains rather sickly. They named her Eleanor (after her mother) Simona (for her sister) Lily (for its symbolism of rebirth, purity, and royalty). They also had twins, Amelia and James.

Sibling RivalryToward the end of 1189, the King and Queen of Wessex & Mercia greeted a welcome surprise: Edith, nearly forty years of age, was expecting another child! When Prince Geoffrey married his bride, Princess Aline (of Mercian nobility), it was in time to be able to kiss the head of his youngest brother, David, resting in their mother's arms. The wedding was a lavish affair, a celebration of Wessex & Mercia's prosperity during the reign of King Philip I, who marveled at how his family was growing - especially considering that he was an only child.Another two years went by, and Geoff and Aline welcomed sons - identical twins, fewer than five minutes apart. As the midwife showed Prince Crispin to his beaming mother and went about cleaning him off, Prince Faramond followed so quickly that he admittedly wasn't properly attended. Faramond's neck seemed to have suffered some sort of impact during the birth process, and it looked stretched on one side. Aline - ever shy and unsure of her place in the world - held both her sons close to her and prayed for their good health. For his part, Geoff is a doting father of his infants. The family he had once begrudgingly accepted as his destiny now meant more to him than anything else in the world. Anyone who violated their safety would be met with the wrath of heaven.During this time, Prince Charles of France realized he really needed a wife.

They said King Henry seldom laughed, unless you had just made a grave mistake, in which case you're as good as dead. They said he was the bastard son of a raven and a weather-vane: all clad in black, too thin for his own good, and prone to suddenly swivelling round to look at you in one swift motion. They said he served the best wine at his banquets, which was all very well until you wake up the next morning remembering all the witty things you had said and realise that he was there all along, listening.People said these things, very quietly in most cases. But the funny thing was, if someone were to ask them what, exactly, skinny old Hal had done to wrong them, they'd be er-ing and um-ing for hours. The thing was, Hal may not be the sweetest cookie in the jar, but he kept the kingdom functional. When a mysterious outbreak swept a village's chickens, he'd bought the carcasses with coin from the Treasury and burnt them all in a pit. When a few ambitious nobles started fidgeting and hiring mercenaries with suspiciously idle schedules, he'd sent his taxmen at them, collecting old unpaid debts and keeping them busy trying to recoup their losses instead of couping him. Even the bread fraudsters lived in fear that Hal would catch them red-handed and give them his ice-cold stare, or worse, employ sarcasm. If trains had been invented, Hal would have made them run on time. He was shrewd, the way King Richard had been, and treated conversation like a chessboard, the way his mother did. What this all bought him was a kingdom which didn't exactly like him, but which knew he was the grease that kept the careful mechanisms all moving smoothly.

He had always been a small and sickly child, but the illness that took him was very sudden. The King and Queen were both devastated - nothing wounds the heart of a parent more than losing a child so young. The loss of Henry also reminded the Queen Mother of the loss of little Princess Joanna so many years ago.The King and Queen soon had reason for rejoicing, however, as a son was born to them a year after Prince Henry's death. Crown Prince Charles is a spitting image of his father, and he dotes on his baby twin sisters, born just a few months ago.Queen Philippa and King Hugo welcomed three children in quick succession, a blessing to Philippa, who had feared that she was barren. At the christening of their daughter, Princess Oriana, King Hugo introduced Princess Victoria to his dear friend Prince Adrian of Portugal. The two began a courtship soon after, and an engagement was quickly procured as a way to ally the two kingdoms.

DD: Princess Elvina Joyce Merwenna Branwyne [10]It is a source of great joy in the kingdom when Princess Caroline and Princess Violetta are born within a month of each other! Caroline will be the next Queen of England. However, a year later, sorrow overtakes the kingdom, as Annabelle's oldest, Arthur takes deathly ill. He fights the illness for a month before finally succumbing. Annabelle is distraught, and the kingdom thinks the only thing that keeps her going is her new daughter. The next year, three more royal babies are born! Samson and Genevieve welcome a son, Florian, and Nellie and her new husband, Pierce, welcome twins, Leonia and David. Earlier this year, Samuel approved the plans to build a university within the kingdom, using taxpayer's money. There were a small few who were upset with the decision, but the majority realizes that the university will soon bring in money to the kingdom.
