It’s Caitlin’s turn now to get a raise. To celebrate, Riley takes her out on a romantic date night, leaving the kids with a sitter.

2024: someone moves in
Caitlin’s mom, Louise, moves in while her house is being fumigated after a bug infestation. Louise doesn’t hesitate to spoil both kids, giving them things they love like toy trucks and dolls. This annoys the crap out of Caitlin, and as much as she loves her, she can’t wait until Louise can move back to her own house.

2026: move to a new place
After some discussion, Riley and Caitlin come to the decision that they’re tired of a world where winter comes in June. They do some worldwide house hunting and eventually find a home in Tampere, Finland that meets all their criteria. Wyatt and Zoe are strongly against moving to a whole new country, and Zoe even refuses to leave the terminal at the airport, but they soon get used to their new surroundings.
