Re: Ceevie's Build-A-Family Round 2
LN: Murray
DW: Olivia Abigail Gibson
DH: Adam Joshua
DD: Eilidh Grace
DD or DS: Clare Yasmine or Scott ChristianAdam and I had been seeing each other for nearly 3 years when Adam proposed. It was so romantic: he took me for dinner (my favourite everything of course!) on a terrace at a pyrmid over looking the Nile. We had a beautiful dinner and then sipped champagne as we watched the sun set. He even got down on one knee! Because of our work commitments we decided to get married that summer before we moved onto our next dig. Whilst we were preparing the wedding my best friend Morgan and I both 'graduated' from our apprenticeship and we now work full-time with Ben and his team, travelling the world on fabulous historical digs. After the wedding the team were planning to mvoe to our next dig in Spain, examining Roman ruins. I couldn't wait! The wedding was everything I had ever dreamed of and more. We got married outside of course in the beautiful grounds of a huge traditional castle. Because of the blistering heat wearing suits and full dresses would of been ridiculous so we decided to keep things simple. Adam and the men wore beige linen trousers and white button-down shirts and simple leather thongs (shoes that is!). I wore a simple knee-length white linen dress. My bridesmaids (my best friend Morgan and my sisters Maura, Cassie and Catriona) all wore apple green dresses. Everything was simple and relaxed so the wedding went to plan. Adam's daughter, little Eilidh was so cute in a buttercup yellow sun dress. For the honeymoon we decided just to have a family holiday. We took a cruise round the Hawaiian islands and spent long luxurious days relaxing on the boat whilst Eilidh had heaps of fun in the children's club. She made a special little friend named Indy Topaz who she still writes to now.Instead of returning to our home in Egypt we met up with the team at our new home on the South Coast of Spain. If its possible our new house is even more beautiful than our last one! We're living in a little apartment block miles away from anything, facing the ocean. The team have rented the entire block so its the most amazing feeling. We're all so secure, it feels like living in one huge house with your family. I know I can trust everyone! The houses are all grouped in a semi-circle facing the beach and ocean round our private swimming-pool. We even have our own hottub in our roof garden! However its not all fun and games. The work is seriously hard. We set out to the site at about 5 o'clock in the morning have a hacienda at about 1 when we have our lunch and a nap then go back to the site from 4 until 7 o'clock. We work on a five-day a week rota and once a week we take a day of to help Stephany out with teaching the children. I do still love the work though! Its so thrilling and I'm doing what I love with the people I love. Also I won't be doing the back-breaking work anymore because I'm pregnant! Adam can't believe it he's so happy. All he talks about is his baby and his 'darling girls' and his little honey...ect! I'm glad he's happy about it though. I can't wait. Eilidh is ecstatic as well! One of the other members of the team, a lady called Dakota, is teaching her to knit and she's knitting the baby a little white cardigan to keep it warm. Its so sweet to see her working away with her tongue sticking out because she's concentrating so hard! The pregnancy is alright so far. A touch of morning sickness and my ankles are swelling up slightly but in exchange for that I get to spend my days with the children by the pool sipping icy juice and when I feel like it wandering over to the site to see how they're doing. Bliss! And in four months time I'm going to have a baby to add to the list of things that make my life perfect!
