Year 1| Duchess Fairuza and Prince Evren married in an interesting affair. Originally a union of convenience, Duchess Fairuza's father Duke Serhan being a war hero and humanitarian who almost caused a revolution, only to be appeased through new legislation and human rights and, sealed, in a controversial move, with the betrothal of the brilliant, freesprited Fairuza to the bookish, spoilt Prince Evren. Although not happy with the marriage at first, the two had a common interest in education, books and history, and eventually Fairuza opened Evren's eyes to the wider world. Despite hiccups early on, by the time their very, very long, initially often extremely difficult, three-times cancelled, four year engagement came to an end and they married, they were very much in love. For a royal wedding, theirs was a small affair. They requested donations to charities for wedding gifts and Fairuza's wedding garb was very simple and understated. Fairuza's attitude put her a little at odds with her mother in law, the decadent Queen Ruqayyah Makbule, but her intelligence and kind spirit won over her father in law King Samed III and the rest of the court, and eventually even Ruqayyah was won over by how in love the young couple are.
Year 2| Fairuza and Evren have welcomed their first little one! Or two little ones. Boy girl times, the little boy, İdris, has straight black hair like his mother and green eyes. The little girl has straight, light brown hair and hazel eyes, her name is Suna. Everyone is delighted with the twins and especially Queen Ruqayyah is smitten, doting not only on the two babies but her daughter in law to the surprise of all. Fairuza is exhausted but finds the energy for charitable work, and Evren is very excited about being a new dad.
Year 3| The popularity of King Samed III drops from 87% approval to 72%, a scary drop. A lot of this is due to austerity and cut backs, and especially cut backs on education spending. Evren and Fairuza try to help the king by starting up three new free, public schools in the capital from their own pocket.
Year 4| King Samad III dies, sadly, after a short illness. Evren's eldest brother, Haluk, takes the throne. Tradition dictates that he take a new name as king, but he refuses, becoming King Haluk I. He is a cruel and brutal leader almost from the start, and even people close to the couple are not safe. Fairuza's sister in law, the outlaw poetess Şule Arina, is imprisoned and her family put under house arrest. Everyone is sad and afraid. Evren and Fairuza feel torn, and fight a lot.
Year 5| Two of the country's former trade partners become enemies due to the poor choices of Haluk I. There are famines and trade embagoes. Things are bad. Fairuza and Evren discuss possible seperation, for the good of the children.
Year 6| King Haluk I is assasinated. Due to popular sentiment, Evren, as the next in line and public choice, takes the throne. He takes the name of King Sabri IX. There is mass rejoicing in the streets and rebuilding of public spaces. The exiled mother of King Haluk I, Dowager Queen Ruqayyah Makbule apologies for her son's actions and, alongside the new king, bestowes the title of Queen Consort on Fairuza. She takes the name Fairuza Sahar as her queenly name. Her relationship with Evren has still taken a hit though, and the two take a lot of time talking and thinking before deciding that they do still love each other a lot and want to work through these trying times.
Year 7| Fairuza and Evren have a difficult year of talking out their problems and fixing not only their marriage but their country following the disasterous behaviour of King Haluk I. But a new baby draws them together. Fairuza is surprised to find she is carrying the heir to the throne, the first child born during the reign of King Sabri IX. And she will be the first queen in five generations! She has wavy brown hair and one green eye, one grey eye. They name her Safiya and pretty much the whole country adores her on first sight.
Year 8| Another baby! This time it's a boy. He has curly brown hair and hazel eyes. They name him Samir. It seems like the country is calming down and people are happy. Evren and Fairuza have put a lot of time, effort and money into quality of life and education and everything is very stable. Sadly this means they don't have as much time with the kids as they'd like, but they take what they can get.
Year 9| The monarchy has a 96% approval rate, the highest in a decade. Everyone is delighted and resolve to work even harder.
Year 10| Triplets! Seriously! Evren and Fairuza are blindsided. But they have happily and safely welcomed two little girls and a little boy. The eldest, Princess Soraya, has wavy black hair and grey eyes. The second daughter, Princess Nehir, has straight light brown hair and hazel eyes. And the son, Prince Arda has wavy brown hair and green eyes. In a bid to make connections, Princess Nehir has been tentively betrothed to the youngest son of the barbarian emperess queen Erdenechimeg Khulan, that is, Naranbaatar. Meanwhile, Prince Arda is promised to a princess in the west, Princess Olimpia Zdzisława Nadzieja. Although they will make sure their children are happy and they will not be forced to marry, Fairuza and Evren hope that even if love isn't kindled, friendship will be. And of course, they will not force their children to do anything they do not wish to do, even in the name of political union. Baby Prince Arda and Princess Olimpia are already keen playmates.
