About the time Emi was born, the local witch predicted that the end of the kingdom would come about within ten years. Of course, as they were planning to merge the two kingdoms they came from, they didn't pay her any mind. It's in the back of their minds sometimes, but they interpreted it as the merging of two kingdoms to become one. Therefore, the kingdom, Felix's kingdom, they currently live in, would be no more. They have their hands full with two kids anyway. Leander is proving to be quite intelligent and very clever, having begun reading and writing lessons with a tutor, and constantly running off to observe the castle's alchemist. Emi persistently follows along behind her mother wherever she goes, always tugging on her mother's skirt to ask a question about how birds can fly or why the knights wear helmets or why she has to wear a dress and Leander doesn't.
