Time flew by and suddenly the royal children were all grown up and ready to be married off. Now the burden was on Theodor's and Floriana's shoulders to find suitable matches for their children, or so they thought. First to marry was the couple's older daughter Amalia just days after she turned nineteen. Her marriage to Crown Prince Bertram of Steinburg, four years her senior and second cousin, has been arranged already for years. The wedding was celebrated by ritch and poor in Leonburg for three days and afterwards the new bride and her husband returned to his kingdom where Amalia bore her first child and the kingdom's heir Bertram-Lukas exactly on the couple's first wedding anniversary.
After the wedding of their daughter, Theodor and Floriana were not losing any time and started to look for a suitable bride for the heir of Leonburg. As with Amalia, they already had a bride picked out for their son years ago, but she sadly passed away in her teen years after a tragic fall from horse. Before they even could start some proper search, Christian sat his parents down and announced that he was already in love and was going to marry his beloved one. No matter how many times Theodor tried to talk his son out of the union or how many tears Floriana has shed over his choice, Christian remained calm and insisted on the wedding. Elisabetta was a young, educated and well mannered young lady from Kingdom of Padua who had only one flaw, she was a commoner. No Prince of Leonburg ever married a commoner and now the heir was going to marry one? Theodor and Floriana feared the reaction of their allies and enemies almost the same. The public warmed up to Elisabetta quickly, after all the union was a fairytale come true, a girl marrying her prince. On the day of wedding thousands gathered in front of the church to catch a glimps of the happy couple. The celebrations went on for nearly a week and as the months passed by following the wedding Theodor and Floriana saw the popularity of the young couple increasing at home and also abroad and concluded that also union from love can be a good one. Fourteen months after the wedding Elisabetta gave birth to a daughter, Eleonore, who crowned her and Christian's love. There is now only one thing missing, a male heir for Leonburg.
