Francesca had wanted to move back home to the United States before starting a family, but after five years in Hong Kong with no plans to move she and Radha make the decision to start their family. Francesca was worried that it would be hard for her to conceive at 34, but she became pregnant immediately and nine months later gave birth to their daughter. They named her Diya Iona - Diya being an Indian name meaning "lamp light" and Iona the name of Francesca's maternal great grandmother. They are both in love, but Francesca is finding it very hard to stay home all day with a baby in the small space they are able to afford in Hong Kong. She & Radha are concerned she may be suffering from PPD. They've had conversations about sending her & Diya back to the states even if Radha cannot leave.
