2016

Alexander and Francesca are newly-weds living in a two-storey family home in Edinburgh, Scotland. Alex is the BBC's sports editor (move over Dan Roan!) and Francesca, being the creative type, runs a business from home on Etsy. They got married last year, after dating for five years. They grew up together in a rural village in the highlands, but felt that they could do more if they moved to a large city like Edinburgh.
2017
Although it was maybe sooner than planned, Francesca and Alex are delighted to have given birth to identical twin girls!
DD/DD [nb]: Elizabeth "Lizzie" Clara Henderson and Robyn Viola Henderson

Alex's job has remained pretty steady, although it's not half as busy as when he was covering the Olympics last year. Francesca's struggling to balance taking care of newborn twins and managing her expanding business, but with her husband's support she thinks she can handle it.
2018
Alexander's had a change of heart. While he knows that his BBC job provides for his family, he's realised it's just not what he wants to do. He hands in his resignation in February 2018 after finding a job as a primary school PE teacher, helping kids realise their full athletic potential regardless of their circumstances. While Francesca is a little concerned about finances, she ultimately just wants her husband to be happy.
2019
Both Alex and Francesca's careers are looking up. Francesca's products were recently reviewed very positively by a popular YouTuber, and she's seen a huge increase in sales, while Alex's dedication to the kids he works with has been recognised in the form of a large bonus. The twins are 2 years old now, and both are developing a passion for learning, encouraged by their parents wherever possible.
2020
Elizabeth and Robyn now have a little brother!

The three-year-old twins are delighted to have a new playmate, although Lizzie is worried that "mummy and daddy will love him more than me!". Alex and Francesca are both pretty delighted with the way life is going.
2021
After a lot of nagging from the twins, Alex and Francesca have given in and adopted a dog from the SSPCA! She's a 5-year-old Staffordshire Bull terrier called Star (and she's actually up for adoption in Edinburgh on the SSPCA website). She's a great addition to the family, sweet and gentle with the children, and walking her provides Mum and Dad with some often-needed quiet time.
2022
With the twins being 5 and Chris 2, maybe travelling to a foreign country is a bit ambitious. That's certainly how Alex and Francesca feel as the old lady in front of them on the plane to France snaps at them to control their children! However, once they arrive, they realise that both parents and children appreciate the change of scene. The week spent in the French country is a welcome reprieve from the busy city atmosphere of Edinburgh, and everyone returns home glad they went. After that summer break, Lizzie and Robyn start school - they both love the chance to learn, although Robyn gets rather homesick for the first few days and cries a lot!
2023
Star's been a never-ending bundle of delight for the Henderson family, and so when Robyn and Lizzie begin plotting to kidnap another dog, Alex and Francesca begin to think that it might not be such a bad idea. And so, Skye, a 9-month-old Staffordshire Bull terrier puppy joins the household! She's an excitable bundle of energy who especially loves to play with the now-3-year-old Chris, and can never have enough walks.
2024
In her gap year, Francesca travelled to Pakistan, where she made many friends, the closest of whom named Francesca as her only child's godmother when he was born in 2020. Sadly, this year, the friend and her husband died in a car crash, and so care of the child fell to the Hendersons.

It's been rough for them all - Lizzie, Robyn and Chris feel a little displaced, Alex and Francesca are mourning the loss of a friend while caring for 4 children, and poor Zahir has been taken across the world, without his parents or friends.
2025
Although home life is complicated, Alex has remained dedicated to his career as well as his family, and this year he received an award in recognition of his "commitment and devotion to developing every child's abilities, his approachable and kind attitude, and his consistent willingness to work whenever needed to assist his pupils." The whole family is delighted for him. Zahir is beginning to settle in well, and has become close with Christopher in particular, being the same age.

A night celebrating Alex's award leads to something they really weren't expecting!

Sadly, this year, Star passed away, at the ripe old age of 10. The kids are all devastated, but bundle of joy Skye helps ease the pain.
