The Kovac-Yates family has just fostered a son not much older than Cordelia! His girlfriend gave birth and, not ready to be a mother, abandoned him, leaving him with the daughter. Father and daughter both have first names from https://nameberry.com/userlist/view/146650 . His middle name is tryndi, while her middle name, being her birth-mother's first name, is from the top 50 of http://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/england-wales/2015 . He, and his daughter by extension, has taken on his adoptive parents' surname.
But that's not all! During a foray into international adoption, they have adopted a boy with a Belarusian first and middle name, as well as a girl with a Korean first name.
