The Milne family is growing up! Matt and Bekah are experiencing their first year as grandparents--and are loving it!
Levi, 23, married his wife, Dani, last year after they both graduated from college. Levi enrolled in law school shortly thereafter, and is studying to get a Law degree. Dani has a degree in psychology, and is working at a counseling center for at-risk youth. She would like to get a graduate degree, but wants to wait until Levi can get a full time job. Their son, Samuel, just turned a year old (and, coincidentally, his adoption was finalized the same day). He came to Levi and Dani first as a foster child (something that both of them have always wanted to do). His biological father died in a car accident before his birth, and his single mother was battling a drug addiction until she passed away six months ago from an overdose. When no next of kin wanted to take the boy, Levi and Dani applied to adopt him. They are currently awaiting their next foster placement.
Brennan, 21, enrolled in the Air Force Academy at the age of eighteen and is planning to graduate from there next year. He hopes to be able to travel the world (or at least the United States). He still enjoys music and plays his guitar whenever he gets a chance.
Carly, 19, is a sophomore in college studying biochemistry. She wants to work in a research facility developing the cure for cancer, autism, or a rare disease.
Zoe, 18, is a senior in high school. She has continued acting and has even done some local television commericals. Her real passion is theater and, now that she's been to see some plays on Broadway, knows that her goal is to perform there someday.
Naomi, 17, is a junior in high school. She has a part-time job at a veterinary clinic, which she loves. She's hoping that they will give her a partial scholarship to go to vet school.
Patience, 16, is a sophomore in high school. Lacrosse is currently her sport of choice, though she plays on an intramural soccer team and takes karate as well. She is very active and hopes she can use that in her career someday.
