1. Meet my son, Tyler Elias.
Say: How sweet
Think: Elias is nice, but Tyler is so popular, should have swapped the combo around.
2. This is my daughter, Rowan Margaret.
Say: Oh, isn't that different :-)
Think: Don't like Rowan on a girl, Margaret is sweet (my mother's name!) but a little dated for me.
3. This is my daughter, Chelsea Luella.
Say: Isn't she precious (subtly sidestep comment on name)
Think: have never liked Chelsea, Luella is definitly not something I would pick!
4. Meet my son, Gethin Alexander.
Say: How do you pronounce that again?
Think: Hmm, that's different...can't decide if I like it or not...
5. These are my twins, Jonathan Anders and Charles Ewan.
Say: How lovely.
Think: Nice enough names, maybe a little grown up for such little babies? I wonder if they're nicknamed Jonty and Charlie...that would be very sweet...
6. Meet my daughter, Kimberly Janelle. We call her Kim sometimes.
Say: Thats sweet
Think: Nice enough, there are definitely worse names then Kimberly (or Kim) and Janelle is pretty.
7. This is my son, Everett Norman.
Say: Isn't he a cutie.
Think: Everett is nice enough but very formal sounding...and Norman...I won't comment.
8. Meet my daughter, Wilhelmina Blanche. We call her Mina.
Say: That's lovely.
Think: Thank god they call her Mina. I'm not a fan of Wilhelmina, but Blanche is nice.
9. Meet my son, Aidan Phaedrus.
Say: What a great name.
Think: What a great name - Aidan is getting pretty popular now, but he could sure do worse!
10. These are my twins, Whitney Jessica and Jennifer Valerie.
Say: How sweet.
Think: Not too bad - I'm not a big fan of Whitney or Valerie, but overall they are not a bad sibset.
11. This is my daughter, Zoey Riley.
Say: Very sweet.
Think: I like Zoe, why did you add the y on? Riley is cute as a middle name.
12. This is my son, Leland Marcus.
Say: Very nice.
Think: Marcus is sweet, but I've always had something against Leland...and I don't know why...
Not the most positive thinking on my part!
