Carter and Idunn still have to pinch themselves sometimes to truly comprehend the idea that they are now grandparents. They had always dreamed about a house full of children and grandchildren, but never expected it to come so soon, yet they are enjoying every second with their growing family.
First just weeks before graduation Beckett and Ana told them they were not only planning to get married very soon, but they were also expecting a baby. Little Vivian was born three months ago and from day one has the whole family wrapped around her little pinkie, even the ever cool & rebelous teens Tennyson & Atticus melt when their little niece is around. While they somehow counted with the possibility of Beckett and Ana becoming parents, they never in their wildest dreams expected their shy and sweet Elin to follow them so soon. The first surprise came when she let it slip shortly before Beckett and Ana's wedding that she was dating a guy in his mid twenties. They met Richard only once and didn't like him at all, but never said a word to Elin about it. They were however relieved when she told them weeks later that she broke up with him. Their relief turned out to be shortlived, as Elin soon found out she was expecting his baby. As expected Richard did not want anything to do with Elin or the baby so they felt it was their turn to step in and support their daughter as good as they could. Alexander, who is mostly called Xander, was born two weeks ago and although it's still early days, they are rather surprised how easily Elin slipped into motherhood. In one of the heart to heart talks Elin had with Idunn lately she even mentioned wanting to go to college and both Carter and Idunn fully support her in this idea.
