Family
SO1: Mark Alastair
SO2: Tamsin Olivia
Location: East London, UK
Do they have any children already? (if yes, post their names and ages): Kitty and Gwen, age 4 and 6, from Mark's first marriage.
Their naming style (use max. 5 words to describe their naming style): vintage, literary, unexpected, meaningful
Family background (how they met, what do they do for living, why they decided to adopt, what languages do they speak etc., give as much or little detail as you want): Tamsin writes and works in publishing, while Mark is a photographer. They met at a swing-dance night at a local pub and were together barely a year before deciding to get married. Mark has custody of his two young daughters, and their decision to adopt comes partially from their want to give the girls more siblings, and partially from a traumatic miscarriage early in their relationship. They like having a busy life, and the girls seem to be thriving on the transition into full time schooling, so it seemed like the right time.
Adoption form
Age range?: newborn-9
Gender preference?: either, but maybe not girls older than Gwen, the six year old
Are they willing to adopt multiples? (twins, triplets): yes
Domestic or international adoption?: both
If international, where from around the world do they want to adopt?: preferably not too far to travel with young kids (eg Europe, northern Africa, Middle East)
Are they willing to adopt children with disabilities?: physical, preferably not extensive mental or emotional (mild to moderate, requiring some therapy or medical is fine, like spina bifida, cleft palate, dyslexia, etc)
Are they willing to adopt children that were raised in different religion?:yes
Are they willing to adopt children who do not speak their language?: yes
Do they plan to add any more biological children to their family?: probably not, due to the medical risk, but there's always a chance
Any other information? (anything else you want to add): They have two dogs, a male beagle and a female collie, named Pippin and Dorrit.
