Family background (how they met, what do they do for living, why they decided to adopt, what languages do they speak etc., give as much or little detail as you want): Sophia's birth was very difficult and left Amelia unable to carry any more children, but she and Matthew do not feel that their family is complete. They decided to look to adoption to expand their family. Everyone in the family speaks English, and Sophia is attending a bilingual English/Spanish preschool.
