Isaac and Corrie's family is growing up. Isaac still works at the sawmill--he's second in command now, and does a lot more of the managing than he did when he was younger. Corrie keeps very busy taking care of nine children and helping to provide for those in the community less fortunate than their family.
Josie, 18, is engaged to be married in three months to her sweetheart, Thad.
Judy, 15, is attending a ladies finishing school. She is enjoying her studies immensely, and writes home often.
Steven, 14, is splitting his time between attending school and learning his father's trade. He gets called in when Isaac is short-handed or when large orders come in to the mill.
Nora, 12, is still in school, but also helps out in the local bakery, where she runs errands and delivers cakes, pies, and breads to people in town.
Simeon, 10, is a wild, rambunctious sort of child who is a natural leader.
Donna, 8, is a quiet child who enjoys spending time with her siblings and is good in school.
Maddie, 5, is a natural-born entertainer, and she enjoys singing and playing little tunes on the piano.
Natalie, 4, is a happy girl whose favorite color is bright red.
Julie, 2, is the baby of the family, and she is happiest when her family is all together.
