Sebastian Romanescu
Sebastian was born in the middle of the night on a Thursday. He was the healthiest baby the family had had so far, screaming and fighting the doctors as they tried to wrangle him into the blanket. Steven breathed a sigh of relief.
"Another boy," Natasha asked tiny Sebastian as she cradled him that next morning. "Another one, really? You guys are going to run me out of house and home. I will lose my mind when you're all teenagers; I just know it. We are adopting girls. A whole bunch of them. Wait till you get old enough to help momma out and we're going on a trip and picking out about ten little girls."
"No," James muttered from where he was trying to sleep in a hospital chair. "This is the last kid that will fit in the car."
"Shit," Steven added. "Hadn't thought of that."
"I had," James answered, "Because I was kind of thinking that we had six hands among us and we should have a kid for each hand, but then I realized we would run out of places to put them."
"And the sixth kid would probably just be another boy," Natasha whined, but a moment later she was kissing and snuggling Sebastian so it seemed she didn't really mean anything by it.
