Arran is from Edinburgh, Scotland. His father was in the military and died overseas when he was a baby. His mother raised him along with her father, who was a fisherman. His grandfather died in a boating accident and his mother died from cancer a couple years later. Arran has a thick, Scottish brogue. He enjoys making up jokes and being around the water. He also enjoys taking things apart and putting them back together, recently he's been dismantling all the clocks he can get his hands on.
Poppy is from Brighton, East Sussex. Her mother was raped, but decided to keep the baby and put little Poppy up for adoption. Poppy is a first generation Brit, as her mother immigrated from Kenya. Eventually, when Poppy is old enough, her biological mother would like to meet her. Poppy likes drawing, playing Go Fish, and feeding birds.
