We are the Dupont family. Phoebe is a journalist and author, writing about history and human rights issues. Gabriel is an award-winning photojournalist but has decided to spend the next few years as a stay-at-home father, raising his children. He currently writes a successful blog about his adventures with his kids and can't wait to write about being an adoptive father also.
The family live in a large apartment in Paris near many art galleries, museums and beautiful parks.
We would like to adopt at least two children, at most four. We are happy to welcome both genders and siblings or multiples. The oldest children we could accept would be 12 and the youngest would be newborns. We would like at least one child older than our son and one younger than our daughter. We also would be willing to accept pregnant teens and children with moderate to mile disabilities or diseases. Cats and dogs are also acceptable as pets. We currently have a dog named Heloïse and a cat named Millicent.
We are a bilingual family, speaking Phoebe's native English and Gabriel's native French at home. Our kids currently attend a bilingual school. Phoebe also speaks Swahili fluently and Gabriel speaks fluent Arabic. Both parents speak some Spanish and the children are learning it at school. We are willing to learn more languages if necessary and can teach any adopted children French and English.
We have no religious preferences although we are atheists and so it would likely be easier for any children we adopt if they are not strongly religious.
Looking forward to welcoming our new children into our family!
With love, Phoebe, Gabriel, William and Matilda

DD/DD: Mireya Raquel and Alejandra Marie (11)
DS: Ruslan Mikita (2)
Cat: Ana
Mireya and Alejandra are from Chile. The girls' father was killed in a mining accident, their mother became depressed and was sent to an asylum shortly afterwards. The girls are very musical, Mireya plays the trumpet and Alejandra plays the guitar. Alejandra has dyslexia. The girls love dogs, but have never been able to have one, they're excited to meet their new family's pets. They both speak Spanish.
Ruslan and his cat Ana, come from Belarus. His father was a high stakes gambler and committed suicide after gambling away all his money. His mother left shortly after his birth. He is quite attached to his family cat, luckily the social worker was able to keep the cat with her so that it would not be put down. Ruslan speaks Belarusian and some Russian, but doesn't speak very much as he is rather shy.
