Re: NTNB Round 2
DH [26]. Martin Eliud Espino
DW [24]. Gabrielle Audra (Scott) EspinoDD [2]. Miriam Elisa Espino
DS/DD [0]. Santiago Eduard "Santi" Espino or Carmen Geneva "Cara" EspinoBoth Santiago and Carmen appear on popularity lists for both the US, England, and Spain, so they are usable in both languages. They also have fairly self-explanatory pronunciations. Santiago is clearly biblical, with the beginning San-, meaning saint. Santiago itself is the name of the patron saint of Spain. Although a location name wasn't a boy's name criteria, Santiago is the name of several cities in both Chile and Spain. Eduard honors Gabrielle's father Edward without using his name directly. It just flows better with the combo.
Carmen is not biblical, but it is medieval Spanish, which works in that area of criteria. Geneva is a city in Switzerland on lake Geneva. It is also derived from Geneviève, which has the patron saint of Paris as a namesake.
