Luke and I were married a few years ago, but only recently decided to buy a house together (though we had been renting an apartment, the right place to raise our family seemed like it just had to be a nice house outside the city.) So we bought a rustic little old Victorian on an acre in a small suburb a few miles outside of the city. It's actually closer to Luke's work and not that far from mine (plus I can take the commuter train instead of walking or biking, our apartment was very inconveniently placed.)
