Van and I met in the 7th grade. Neither of us was allowed to date yet, so we decided to be friends. As it turned out, we became best friends. Van started dating as a sophomore and me as a junior. Strangely, we never dated each other. Our friendship was just too special. Somewhere between 7th grade and senior year, I fell in love with the tall green-eyed man Van had matured into.

Van has always loved animals as far back as either he or I can remember. He decided to become a zoologist. Van specializes in large predator care (if that's an actual specialization) and likes the big bears, tigers, and lions he cares for. Me, I've known all my life that I would be a teacher. I got an elementary school teaching degree and I minored in elementary special education. Right now, I work with developmentally disabled 1st and 2nd graders. My job is very rewarding for me.
