The Winters legacy lives on.
Stephen continued to patrol the streets of New Jorvik as the second person behind the Obsidian cowl. While nothing has been confirmed, the public has suspected that the current Obsidian is not the same one as had prowled the alleys of the city years ago, partially because of the notable time gap, but also because of the current Obsidian's newfound preference for bows and arrows. For his part, Stephen is happy enough to do what he considers to be his responsibility: to keep the city as clean and safe as he can.
But like his parents before him, he cannot work alone. Fortunately, Hadley introduced him to an old friend of his, Devorah Talbot, also known as Recluse. Unlike most other superpowered people, Recluse, as her name implies, does not take to the streets herself. Instead, she uses her telepathic abilities to act as a sort of information broker/long-distance guide for other heroes, guiding them and giving them useful hints from her tower flat downtown. It isn't a very exciting life, but it is an infinitely useful and appreciated role that she plays, and Stephen is very glad to have her help him.
But eventually, Devorah became more than just an ally. She became a friend. An equal. A partner.
And, in time, a wife, and mother of his children.
Stephen and Devorah are blessed with four children of their own: Janie, Karl, Louisa, and Mick. Of the four, the eldest, Janie, has already begun to exhibit minor telekinetic abilities even at an early age. And while her Mame and Daddy continue to keep the city safe, Janie keeps her brothers and sisters from eating the batter and leaving gaping holes in the backyard.
Well, there was that one time she forgot that she wasn't supposed to join them from swimming in the fish pond, but Mame and Daddy don't have to know about that, don't they? Even if Mame probably already knows, because she knows everything.
Mutatis mutandis. Si non confectus, non reficiat.
