DH: Abram Thomas Donahue "Abe"
DW: Karis Eliza (Garrity) Donahue
Their Story: "You should really meet my brother-in-law Abe, you two would be perfect for each other!" Karis's good friend Bethany told her one day when they had lunch. "He's such a gentleman, just like his big brother! We really want to find him a good woman, he's been working so hard and is ready to have someone share his life." Karis thought it was nice of her friend to think of her but this guy sounded a bit sad, besides she couldn't ever like anyone named Abe! A few days later while visiting an elderly friend, Karis noticed a snuggly bundled man shoveling the older lady's driveway, and he even brough in her mail. "Who is that Gram?" "That's my neighbor Abe, he goes to my church too and he's always so sweet. I never have to worry about slipping on ice when I go to my car. And he won't let me pay him either, no matter how much I try. What he really needs is a good woman. I should set you two up! Don't give me that look Karis, you and Abe would be very cute together!" It was then Karis made a mental note to stay away from Gram Anderson's church.
Meanwhile "Abe" had two different mutual friends plus his mother mention to him that he should really meet Karis Garrity, "she's a real sweetheart!" When they did finally meet Abram had an idea that she might be "the Karis" but since he introduced himself as Abram it wasnt until after they started talking and making friends that she realized he was "Abe"! Well, you don't think of these possible serendipities when a cute guy at a basketball game helps you get your car started! Turns out their friends did make a good match, and once they became engaged Karis and Abram eventually didn't care that it wasn't originally their idea to get married. But at their wedding Gram Anderson didn't miss the opportunity to tell them "I told you so!"
