Each of the Emerson kids are different;
Phoenix is currently studying mechanics in college, it took him a long time to find what he wanted to do but now he is happy and has aspirations to one day own his own car garage. He loves his brothers and sisters but has an especially close bond with baby of the family, Sydney, who he often takes out to the park. Often Phoenix feels misunderstood by his peers but he knows he can always find comfort with his family.
Addie is a girl with sass. She's got a determined mind and once she has an idea in her head it takes a lot for her to let it go. In school she works hard but her cheek often gets her into trouble with teachers and students alike. Addie takes it all in her stride, and wriggles her way out of trouble with a fast-thought excuse and flashy smile. Her favourite subject is English and she dreams of being a news reporter.
Second son Devon is just finding his feet in secondary school. He is academic like his sister, but unlike Addie, Devon keeps his head down and just gets on with his work with as little hassle as possible. He is a science-nut, enjoying chemistry and experiments that make things ignite, at home Devon is independent, spending most of his time away from family, playing video games in his room. Devon isn't sure what he wants to do yet, but he's positive it will have something to do with chemistry.
First of the "twins", Logan is a little firecracker and is often referred to as the 'spice' to Casey's 'sweet'. At school she enjoys sports and boasts about how much better than the majority of the boys in her class are. If you want Logan's attention you better catch her quick because this girl never stops, she drives her parents (and her siblings) crazy with all the running around she does but she has a good heart and a butter-wouldn't-melt smile.
Second "twin" Casey is the completely opposite of Logan but they get on like best friends. They were born with 364 days between them and were nicknamed the twins early on. Casey finds Logan careless and stupidly spontaneous but the girls balance each other out and can often be found playing together both in school and at home. When she's not telling her sister to "just think for a second", Casey enjoys reading about magical places and drawing beautiful animals. She always has time to help out a sibling, parent or friend.
With four years between him and his youngest sibling, Sydney is well and truly the baby of the family. But he doesn't mind. Slowly his personality is beginning to shine through and he is a good mix of all of his brothers and sisters. Sydney loves feeding the ducks in the park with Phoenix, listening to Addie's rants about her schoolmates, annoying Devon when he's trying to be alone, attempting the play football with Logan, and watching fascinated as Casey magically makes amazing creatures appear on pieces of paper. Curious and mischievous, Sydney is always trying to get away with murder but he also enjoys quiet moments to himself.
