When Luke told Jack and Beth he was dating someone, they were excited to meet his new love. But, when Luke brought Micah, they were definitely surprised. It was then Luke came out as being gay to the entire family. Beth always had an inkling that Luke was gay but Jack had no idea. Well, more as he "didn't notice it." Nevertheless, Jack and Beth love their son no matter what and they warmly welcomed Micah into their home.
