Jason and I met in college. We married shortly after graduation. Jason chose to volunteer with the Peace Corps, and took up a mission in South Africa. He volunteers with various activities at the local school while I teach English.

Year 1: I am always impressed with the volunteer work Jason does. I have begun volunteering my extra time with the children at the hospital.
Year 2: Much to our surprise, I found out I was pregnant at the end of last year. Our baby girl, Bethany Rose, was born this year. She somehow managed beautiful, wavy red hair and blue eyes.
Year 3: Jason and I were finally getting used to a new normal with Bethany when I discovered I was pregnant again. Even more surprising was the fact that we were having twins this time! Zachariah Tobias has curly brown hair and blue eyes. Vincent Wallace inherited his father’s wavy blonde hair and green eyes.
Year 4: We weren’t exactly planning on the arrival of little Xavier Timothy, but at least he wasn’t as much of a surprise as his siblings. Jason and I are thinking red hair must have skipped a generation or two as Xavier has curly red hair and hazel eyes.
Year 5: I managed to earn a promotion this year. I am still teaching English, but I have been voted onto the administrative board, too.
Year 6: Jason has picked up a new mission with the Peace Corps. We’ve moved to Mongolia this year. Jason is working with heath care this time. I have decided to stay home to take care of the kids.
Year 7: You’d think four kids in three years would be enough, but we decided to have another child. We weren’t planning on another set of twins, but lo and behold, Elijah Patrick and Melissa Hope were born this year. Elijah has his father’s wavy blonde hair and green eyes. Melissa has my wavy brown hair and blue eyes.
Year 8: We’ve decided to move yet again. Jason has had his fun with the Peace Corps, and is ready to settle down with his family and a permanent job. We have chosen to move to England. Again, I’m staying home to take care of the kids. Jason has gotten a job with the local newspaper.
Year 9: Bethany, Zach, Vincent, and Xavier have been begging for a pet. Jason and I finally caved…sort of. We added a betta fish to the family. The kids couldn’t agree on any name other than ‘Fishy’.
Year 10: Surprise! We’ve got more little ones in the family. Nathaniel Cole and David Lane were definitely unplanned. Dad’s genes seem to be pretty dominant. Nathaniel got Jason’s wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. David sort of took after me with curly brown hair and hazel eyes.
Year 11: Jason was offered a position with a bigger newspaper in London. We moved into the city, so he could be closer to the job.
Year 12: I’ve been wanting to write a book about my experiences ever since Jason and I moved to South Africa. I finally finished it and sent it off to the publishers this year!
Year 13: The newspaper has been having some issues this year. They cut back on staff. Since Jason was the newest, he was the first to go. He is now doing custodial work at a local church.
Year 14: Fishy died this year. The kids begged and begged. We now have Midas, the goldfish, in the family.
Year 15: According to the kids, Midas looked lonely. He now has a friend named King.
