Year One = My long term goal of having the president to interview on the Early Bird morning show is accomplished. And it was a very satisfying interview indeed!

Year Two = Adam and I had been unofficially trying for a baby since we'd gotten married with no success, out of the blue one day then he approaches me with the ide of adoption, an although I'm reluctant at first, I warm to the idea and soon we are being put through the motions. After nine months we are paired with a five year old boy from South Korea, he has straight, black hair and dark brown eyes; the boy was named Lee Jun with Lee being his family name and Jun his given name. We decided to change this around slightly and have Lee as his given name with Jun as a middle name and we gave him our surname.

Year Three = Despite wanting to wait until Lee had further settled in to welcome another child to our family, I became surprisingly pregnant but all of us - Lee included - were overjoyed with the arrival of our second son. He came out with a shock of curly red hair (which I know I must owe to my Irish lineage) and bright blue, curious eyes; we named him Tobias James.

Year Four = With a newborn baby and another son in school, we were not thinking about any more children just yet, however nature had another plan for us. I found out late, at five months, that I was pregnant with a girl. Lee was very happy to have a sister. When Tobias was just 15 months old when I gave birth to a gorgeous girl with beautiful red, wavy hair and hazel eyes like Daddy. We named her Caroline Onyx.

Year Five = One day we get a surprise phone call from the adoption agency. They have been contacted by the South Korean authority who allowed us to adopt Lee. Two years ago they found Lee's older sister wandering the streets, dirty and abused, it has taken them that long to rehabilitate her and contact us. They are asking if we would consider adopting her, to keep the siblings together. The decision is made instantly, and our new daughter is on a plane in no time. Like her brother she has straight, black hair and dark brown eyes, she is called Lee Jin but we decide to rename her Jinny Lee with our surname.

Year Six = Our three-bed house is a lot more crowded with our oldest daughter's arrival and our youngest beginning to crawl and walk. We keep to the same area but move further into the countryside into a house with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, and lots of private and playing space for our very different children.

Year Seven = We learn that Jin has been having some trouble at school with bullies and not getting her work in on the deadline. We decide to take the whole family to Costa Rica where our oldest two children can be children again and we can enjoy ourselves as a normal American family.

Year Eight = I am offered the opportunity to travel to war-torn Iraq to cover a series of news reports right from the scene. Although I am unsure about leaving Jin and all of my children when they need me most, Adam pushes me to go for it and insists that he will draft in his twin sister if he is really struggling with our girls. I stay in Iraq for five months and miss my family every single day.

Year Nine = With the success of my live news broadcasts from Iraq last year I am given the opportunity to go again, this time to Egypt, to cover similar unrest. However I am unprepared to leave my family for such a long time again, so Adam suggests we all go. I feel guilty for taking my children away from friends, school and civilisation but they learn a great deal about life from the strife that the Egyptians are going through and they are never once put in any danger.

Year Ten = One night we receive some terrible news... Adam's twin sister, Penelope, was killed after being hit by a reckless drunk driver, she was walking her youngest child home from dance class - luckily my niece survived - Penny was not as lucky. His sister's death sends Adam into a spiral of depression, and Jin also recluses - she was very close to her Aunty Penny - I struggle to hold the family together and in the end look into group counselling to sort out our issues.

Year Eleven = We didn't talk bout it much. It just happened. But we did talk about it, and we were every so glad when our third daughter came into the world. She had almost no hair, but that eventually grew to be blonde and straight, her brown eyes were a mystery to Adam and I but they held so much cuteness. We called, what we agreed to be our last child, Matilda Daisy.

Year Twelve = The arrival of Mattie threw our household into somewhat of a spin, to compensate to our youngest two children we bought them a rat to give them responsibility and something to play with. After many heated debates between them, her name was decided; Luna.

Year Thirteen = Unhappy that his job doesn't pay nearly as half of much as mine, Adam goes back to college where he studies psychology. This pulls him away from the kids and I, and puts a strain on our relationship but we push through, because we don't really have much choice.

Year Fourteen = Having given up his job to go back to college we are struggling for money more than we thought, and Adam grudgingly agrees to work part time at the hotel whilst also earning a bit more extra cash putting in some hours at the local bookstore.

Year Fifteen! = With Adam working so hard at college and his two jobs to make better his family, I think he deserves a break and so book a romantic trip away for just the two of us while my biological children are left in the capable hands of my older two. We go to London for seven nights and enjoy ourselves incredibly, might there be just one more baby in store for this family of seven...?
