Re: Year Game - CAF WFL
in reply to a message by Ninor
DH is named Elias Rupert Anselmi "Eli". Elias has wavy, blonde hair and green eyes. He works as a judge. DW is named Dorotea Shahnaz Anselmi "Tea", formerly Dubois. She has wavy, black hair and hazel eyes and she works as a doctor. Elias and Tea live in Stockholm, in Sweden. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------Year 1: Travel. Tea and Eli decide to go on holiday somewhere exotic, and since Tea has friends out in India, Andhra Pradesh to be exact, Hyderabad sounds like a perfect choice. They have a fantastic time visiting places like Chowmahalla Palace, Charminar and the Golkonda fort, and Tea is delighted to meet up with her old uni friend again. The one bad thing is that Eli manages to lose his camera, but fortunately they had backed up most of the photos and it wasn't that expensive a model anyway. Year 2: Pet. The Anselmis aren't certain that they're ready for children just yet, so they decide to trial how responsible they can be with a living creature by getting a pet. They end up getting a small, tan coloured rabbit whom they name Christopher "Kit". They later find out that 'Christopher' is actually a she-rabbit, and she becomes Christabel "Kit" instead. Year 3: Adoption. Following Kit's prolonged survival, Dorotea and Eli think they'd be able to manage a kid too. However, Tea's work is really busy and she's not sure that now's the right time. After several discussions with friends and one another, they decide to adopt. They end up adopting a little girl from Shanghai in China. She is three years old and has black hair and brown eyes. Her birth name is Ziyang (紫鸯, meaning "purple mandarin duck"), which is pretty hard for her new parents let alone other people to say. They decide to relegate Ziyang to a middle name, and rename her Zinovia, with the off-beat nickname of "Zi". Despite all that, and the culture shock, Zi is a cheerful, chatty, friendly young girl who settles in well in her new home. Year 4: Adoption. With Zi settling in well, the Anselmis have decided to adopt again. Their second child is a ten year old girl who comes from comes from Bangladesh. She is eight years old, with dark brown hair and light brown eyes. Her name is Nilam, and Tea and Eli decide not to change that. They do, however, give her the middle name of Lovisa, after Dorotea's grandmother. Nilam is initially shy and nervous, but she quickly becomes fond of Kit the bunny and gradually makes a friendship with her parents and adoptive sister.Year 5: Go back to school. Tea decides she would like to take on an additional speciality, and begins studying hard. Meanwhile, Eli begins evening classes in Bangla, in the hope that he can meet Nilam half-way she learns English. His attempts are a success and father and daughter immediately find shared interests, like cycling and cute animals. Apart from that, very little changes.Year 6: Job. Promotion. Tea's attempts to take on another related medical speciality are successful, and she is promoted within her department.Year 7: Pet. The family decide to get another pet. They adopt a pet leopard gecko, whom the children immediately adore, and name him Zeno. Zi is enchanted by him, whilst Nilam still prefers Kit, even though she does find the little guy kinda cute.Year 8: Adoption. After asking Zi and Nila if they'd mind another sibling, and the children's enthusiasm, Tea and Eli decide to adopt again. This time they adopt from South America - Venezuela, to be exact. This time it's twins, three years of age, with green eyes and brown hair. Carmen-Margarita is the more decisive, impulsive twin, whilst her brother, Juan-Porfirio, is calm, gentle and inquisitive. Eli doesn't really like the cumbersome double-barrel names, and so they decide to simplify them to Carmen and Porfirio. Carmen is renamed Carmen Marguerite and Porfirio becomes Porfirio Johannes Anselmi. Carmen kicks up a bit of a storm for a bit, but gradually mellows and settles in - perhaps because Rio settles down into the family so well, looking up to and idolising Nilam and taking an interest in all the books in Eli's library.Year 9: Birth. Most unexpectedly, Tea falls pregnant. The one who takes it the worst is arguably Carmen (who has her own set of neuroses), followed by Dorotea herself, who really didn't expect this. Fortunately, both calm down eventually. Tea gives birth to a son one warm August afternoon. He has blonde hair, like his dad, and green eyes, ditto. They name him Edgar August Anselmi and he receives, despite the previous misgivings, a joyous welcome into the family.Year 10: Job. Business trip. Eli goes on a business trip to Copenhagen. He brings back enough touristy tack for everyone, although lord knows how he got the time to do so.Year 11: Pet. The Anselmis decide to add to their assortment of beloved animals. This time they bring another rabbit into their household - a sweet, docile, black male they name Roland. Kit and Roland get along rather well. Too well, in fact, and they soon hear the thump of baby rabbit feet. Of the five kits born to, well, Kit, they keep two and give three good homes. The two male kits are sweet little dears, whom they name Percival "Percy" and Frederick "Fred". After that incident, they resolve for it never to happen again.Year 12: Birth. After Kit's new arrival, Tea finds herself expecting one. There are fewer tantrums this time, and the household is calm. The Anselmis are joined by a baby girl, who has black curly hair and blue eyes. They name her Cosima Seraphine.Year 13: Family event. Unfortunately, Dorotea's brother, Stefan, and his wife, Laleh, are killed in a car accident, leaving Tea in charge of their three children - their eldest daughter, Soraya Josefina (11), her younger sister, Bahar Cecilia (7), and the youngest, Shahrazad Helena (5). All three children are shaken and grieving when they arrive in the Anselmi residence, but the family do their best to try and make them welcome. Tea herself is heartbroken, having been very close to her brother and his wife.Year 14: Adoption. The Anselmis decide to adopt again, this time from Vietnam. They adopt a five year old girl with black hair and brown eyes, named Mai Lành. Since Mai works perfectly fine, and since she's five, they decide not to change her name. They give her the second middle name of Gwendoline. Mai initially settles in very badly, but then forms a strong friendship with Shahrazad, after which she warms to and opens up to the other family members much more.Year 15: Adoption. Since Mai has settled down much more and become a quiet, but friendly and approachable, capable and affectionate member of the family, Tea and Eli broach the topic of adoption once more. None of the kids are upset by the idea, and so on they go. This time they adopt from Romania. Another daughter, three years of age, with curly blonde hair and brown eyes. She is named Clara, which they think fits perfectly. They add the middle name Loredana, in honour of a Romanian close mutual friend. Once Clara has settled in the home, they decide that their far-larger-than-anticipated family is finally complete.DH: Elias Rupert Anselmi "Eli"
