Nem is from a large family--he is the middle child of seventeen. He always loooooved his huge family and he's determined to have a large family himself. Perhaps not QUITE as large as his (he thinks seventeen may be pushing), but he knows he wants at least ten. Nem is studying to be a physical therapist.
Katie, on the other hand, is an only child. She grew up in a rich family and was a little bit spoiled. But her parents were good parents and brought her up well. She didn't turn out a brat at all. One thing about Katie is that she only wants two kids--one boy, one girl. She's sure that's all she'll be able to handle. Katie is studying to be a journalist.
One day, two years ago, Nem went to the grocery store. Katie happened to go to the same grocery store on the same day at the same time. They met getting milk. They met getting bread. And they met at the checkout. That's when they decided they HAD to get to know each other. Seriously, what with having run into each other three times in one day, they knew they were destined to be (at least) friends.
So they got together and got to know each other. Soon, they were close friends. But one night, six months after they met, as an experiment, Nem kissed Katie. And automatically they knew there was something. After a year and a half dating, they got married rather spur-of-the-moment. But they knew they were made for each other. They just knew it.
