It's been a busy 3 years for the Everhart family!
Noah and Elena are busy as always. Elena has gone back to full time work now that the kids are older and is really loving the busy vibrant environment of working back in fashion journalism once again. Noah has been made an executive VP at his firm and they're both extrememly happy.
James & Ariel have really done well for themselves. Little Finn was 18 months old when they got married in a small ceremony, and Finn was adorable as the page boy in his little black tux. James & Ariel are both still in college, James is now studying architecture after becoming fascinated by during his part time work doing construction, and Ariel is planning on becoming an elementary school teacher - particularly for 1st and 2nd graders. She's taking a semester away at the moment though because they've just welcomed their 2nd child, a little girl whom they've named Chloe. Having another baby was a hard choice for them, Finn hadn't exactly been planned (but he was never regretted), and they had to weigh up finishing their schooling and their desire for Finn to have a sibling around the same age as himself. In the end it just felt like the right time, and now that Chloe is here they new it was the right decision.
Leo is away at school - the policy academy to be exact!!! He carried a lot of anger for a long time after his parents death and was a real handful. It got so bad that Alex was actually the only person who could ever get through to him. It killed James that he couldn't help his best friend, but Leo went through a phase of lashing out in his anger and after he'd given James a couple of black eyes they realised that Alex was the only one who could get near him because no matter what, they knew Leo wouldn't hit a girl. Leo and Alex became a couple for awhile, but eventually admitted to themselves that it just felt far too weird to be dating someone who was kinda a sibling, even if they weren't blood related. Elena watched, sighed and couldn't help but wonder how things would have turned out if Leo's parent's hadn't been killed, if Leo hadn't come to live with them, and Elena doesn't doubt for a minute that had things been different Leo and Alex would have ended up together. Leo still finds himself being extremely protective of Alex and constantly worries about her, wondering if she's being careful, wondering if the losers who ask her out are remotely worthy of her, hoping she's using that can of pepper spray he got her... and questioning his motives as to why he feels all of that and so much more for her when he isn't even that protective of his actual sister, Rose... He can't wait for next year when Rose joins Alex because he knows Rose will tell him anything and everything he wants to know which will make keeping tabs on Alex a lot easier...
Alex is in her second year of college studying marketing, advertising and public relations. She can't decide yet which direction she wants to go in so at this stage is just doing a little bit of everything until she makes up her mind. She went away for school and doesn't get home all that much so misses the family a lot. She keeps in touch though and dotes on her little niece and nephew constantly sending them little trinkets and things she finds that remind her of them. She's really looking forward to next year too become Rose is joining her after highschool. Noah & Elena have promised to rent them a small apartment so they don't have to live on campus and Alex can't wait to show her sister around. As for her love life? Alex has been single since she broke up with Leo, a few dates here and there but nothing that ever turned serious. Alex can't help but think of Leo often and hope he's being safe. She worries about him becoming a Policeman as its such a dangerous job, but understands his desire to make a career of catching the bad guys having lost his parents at the hands of a drunk driver. She also wonders if any other guy will ever live up to Leo in her mind because so far none have even come close... And then she wonders what might have happend if she hadn't let people talk her into thinking that dating her psuedo-brother too weird...
Rose is just finishing highschool and can't wait to join Alex at college. She became a very quiet, shy girl after her parents death but Alex has a way of pulling her out of her shell and making her have fun. Rose is planning on studying literature and creative writing and has hopes of becoming a book editer, and maybe an author herself. She's also got a secret, she's a closet matchmaker and is planning on getting her dear brother Leo, and best friend/psuedo-sister Alex to pull their heads out of their butts and hook up already once and for all! As for her, she's got a boyfriend, Josh, but knows full well they'll break up when she goes off to college, and she's perfectly ok with that - Josh was fine as a high school boyfriend but she knew he was never going to be her 'forever' like James & Ariel have...
Isla is 15 now and giving her father more grey hairs then he'd like to admit! She's a cheerleader, popular, but not exactly the smartest log on the fire... She's got a big heart though and thats what worries her Dad and older brothers, she's so sweet and kind that they worry guys will take advantage of her, and they think of Isla as like a bright ray of sunshine and never want anything to tarnish her rosy outlook on the world. They protect her as best they can, but as she gets older and boys get braver that's proving to be difficult. On a plus however, Mason has just had a massive growth spurt and is definitely looking intimidating these days so has taken over looking out for her at school.
Mason at the age of 14 is a giant, he's going to be well over 6ft once he's fully grown and is a solidly built guy. He's been playing football his whole life and is playing lineback for the JV team, but he'll be varsity soon they're sure - he's like a solid wall of adolescent muscle! He loves the popularity that comes with sports and does take advantage, but he also loves that everyone is intimidated by him, and in turn they all know that Isla is his sister so that keeps the creeps away from his sweet (yet blonde) sister.
Willa is 13 now and as the baby of the family she's pretty much spoilt rotten! She's not stuck up about it though, she just loves the attention. She's at school with Isla & Mason now which she was a bit nervous about, but has since found that being the youngest child of a family that after James, Alex, Isla & Mason everybody knows has its perks. The Everhart's have left quite a legacy at that school, and Willa is happily riding it's coat tails - she's going to try out for the cheerleading team next year and its already pretty much a done deal. Mason isn't too keen on it, he's already got his hands full chasing boys away from Isla, and now he's going to have to keep them away from Willa too! Willa of course just laughs reminds Mase that she's not Isla and can look after herself, and actually wants to boys to hit on her so he'd better not scare all of them away - just the losers...
Lastly is another new member of the family... Boxer pup Arthur. 2 years after Perry passed away Elena had to admit that she really missed having a dog around so she started looking at breeds and puppies she thought might fit in with the family, and then presented Arthur to them on christmas morining. Artie is an absolute goof ball which is exactily what they all need - an active dog who makes them all laugh.
